Favorite song from movie :)

What is your favorite song from the movie Cars? i have a few favorites

1: Life is a Highway
2: Real

Gone
3: Sh-Boom
4: Route 66(original) & Route 66 (john mayer version)

It’s a dead tie between Real Gone and Find Yourself. Real Gone is exciting,

while Find Yourself pretty much sums up what Lightning learns.

 1. Sh-Boom
 2. Our Town
 3. Find Yourself
 4. Route

66 ( Chuck Berry )
5. Mcqueen and Sally

Those are my top 5

My

most favourite songs are Our Town, Find Yourself, Real Gone, Life Is A Highway and McQueen and Sally. But I like

the entire soundtrack and that’s all I have been listening to since I bought it

At first, it was “Find Yourself” and “Behind the Clouds” (I’m a sucker

for the old-time country sound, which is why I liked the latter).

But lately, I’ve taken a liking to

“Our Town,” because it summarized what happened to Route 66 towns when the interstates bypassed them

and made that scene so memorable. A lot of people I know who didn’t “get” Route 66 got it

then.

That said, Brad Paisley shines the brightest on this soundtrack album.

I’m

not really one for country music, so I guess it isn’t really a surprise that “Real Gone” and John

Mayer’s “Route 66” are my two overall favorites. I don’t mind Rascal Flatts’ version of "Life

is a Highway," but I still prefer the original. “Sh-Boom” and “Our Town” are cool,

too.

For me, you got a first place tie between “Life is a Highway”, "Route 66 (John Mayer

version)" and “Find Yourself”.

“Our Town” is definitely first place in my book (I even predict that it will get an

Oscar nomination for Best Original Song). “Behind the Clouds” comes in second. Also, I actually prefer

Rascal Flatt’s version of “Life is a Highway” over the original Tom Cochrane version. "Find

Yourself" and “Real Gone” are very nice to listen to as well. “Sh-Boom” and the two

versions of “Route 66” are also pretty good.

I suppose that my preferred

list of songs in Cars would be along the lines of CountSolo’s favorite tunes, and

in order as well. Unlike KE, I absolutely rave over country music; hence, my list would be as such:

1. Our Town
2. Behind the

Clouds
3. Find Yourself
4. Life is a

Highway
5. Route 66 (original version)

After that, the rest is guess work.

The only one I can really remember is Life Is A Highway, and I really liked how

it fitted with the scene, as well.

I think Life is a Highway not only fitted with that particular scene, but also

the whole, entire movie as well. I think that song represents that movie.

life is a highway is my top favorite

song because i love the song i’ve heard like 1,000,000 times and I still love it!!

P.S. I Didn’t

really listen to it 1,000,000 times

 1. Find Yourself
 2. Life is a

Highway
3. Real Gone
4. Sh-Boom
5. Both versions Route 66

I’ve always loved Brad Paisley :sunglasses:

CarFreak: Me, I listened to it 100 times in 4 days. Do

the math.

Mine is.

 1. Life is a Highway

Sh-Boom
3. Find Yourself
4. RealGone
5. Both versions Route 66

1. Life is a

Highway
2. Real Gone
3. Route 66 (John Mayer)
4. Sh-Boom
5. Behind the Clouds

What is that

song called when the cars are crusing down the neon lighted Radiator Springs?

The Star Swordsman - It is called “Sh-Boom”,

and it makes my sisters and I start bouncing up and down on the balls of our feet… (snigger)

Wonderful.

And by the way, you got your favorite

song, but what about your favorite soundtrack song? Only the orchestra playing?

The Star

Swordsman - Ohhh…that is a hard choice. When it comes to the score itself, I have quite a tough

choice in deciding which track is my favorite. All of the orchestral/instrumental songs playing in the backround

are just wonderful in themselves. However, if I had to choose, I suppose it would be a tie between these two:

McQueen and Sally - Calming instrumental tones and and almost carefree

atmosphere about the score make this particular piece all the more soothing to listen to.

Goodbye - The tension within the depth of the music, coupled with a steadily

decreasing tone of sadness, plays beautifully throughout the track. It is calm…yet emits a “lonely”

feel at the same instance.

Glad you asked. What are yours?
