What are your favorite video game characters? Old or new, for any system. You can have more than one, of course. They can be villains or heroes, or even bystanders. For me, it is:

*Thomas Rogan - From the 1996/1998 Arcade and Sega Saturn game, The House of the Dead. Picture of him: i166.photobucket.com/albums/u120 … avvy-1.png

*T-1000 - 1991 Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Arcade game, SNES, Sega Genesis game. It is a villain. The police officer in my signature is the T-1000 from it. It is a machine, disguised as a human. So is my avatar…

*Richard - 1995 Time Crisis, Arcades and Playstation 1. It is a light gun shooting game. You have a pedal that you step on to stand out of your cover and fire at the enemy. Terrorists have kidnapped a VIP and Richard is supposed to take care of it. Awesome game.

*Manon - 1999-2000, Medal of Honor Underground. Playstion 1. Manon is part of the French resistance in WWII. You have to spy on the enemy, destroy the enemy, and liberate important people, including captured bomber pilots. This game a is a masterpiece.

*Cobra - 1997, Silent Scope, Arcades, Sega Dreamcast, Xbox, and Playstation 2. Cobra is actually a villain. A terrorist that kidnaps the president’s daughter in one part. He is one of the many terrorists you must fight. In the highway scene, he hijacks a semi truck and tries to run you over. A great character, and a great game.

*Scissor Man - 1997 Clock Tower, Playstation 1. Very scary game. Scissor Man is a psychotic criminal who uses a giant pair of scissors for his crimes. It takes place in a empty town in London. You play as a young woman trying to escape and hide from him. Masterpiece. No, Scissor Man is not like a Super Hero a villain. He’s like a real person.

Rayman is my all-time favourite video game character. I don’t know why- he’s not evil and his personality isn’t particularly interesting, but the first time I played Rayman, I just fell in love with the character.

I also like-

  • Clank from Ratchet and Clank. He is one cool little robot, and his dialogue is always hilarious.
  • Altair from Assassin’s Creed; he’s just such a calm, collected yet arrogant character, and I guess because he isn’t the stereotypical perfect hero out to save the world, that makes him more interesting.
  • The Flying Fox from Heavenly Sword. He is absolutely insane, yet strangely capitvating. A lot of people find his voice annoying, as though it’s been over-acted, but I love it.

Mario - most recognisable character of all time.
Sonic - that super-fast hedgehog.
Tails - so cute, and used to be an imaginary friend of mine.
Bowser - I like his design. I’ve always had a soft spot for him.

I present to you…le best video game character of all time:

Croc

He can defeat enemies with a simple swipe of his tail, speaks a foreign language, has saved an ancient world twice from sudden peril, will brave any climactic zone, adventure, or protagonist, harnasses the ability to carry virtually anything in his under-sized backpack, and is an all-time, number one Star Wars fanatic.

Now how can you not love a guy like that? Who needs weapons and special abilities to save a planet? Not Croc, I say. Plus, if it wasn’t for him and the games he stars in, my sister and I never would have learned how to speak Gobbo. We are proud to announce that we are familiarized with a second dialect that not many individuals even know about. Try that for size, man. (snigger)

Uhh… I know he’s more of a cartoon character but Pikachu is my favorite player on Smash Bros. :smiley:

I also like Roxas from Kingdom Hearts II… okay maybe I have a slight crush on the pixelated guy… :blush:

I like Luigi too. My main player on Mario Party. Heehee.

my top 3 favorite video game heroes

#1 is a tie:

1. Yoshi! :mrgreen: - I’ve been a fan of the little green dude since the SNES era. He was the first fictional character I routinely drew as a kid, and I always use him when playing any Mario Kart or Mario Party game.

1. Sparkster (Rocket Knight Adventures) - He is the hero of my favorite Sega video game of all time, and he is the inspiration for an original character of mine.

2. Midna - If you’ve completed Twilight Princess, you know how much she rules…[spoil]literally[/spoil]. :wink:

3. Samus Aran (Metroid series) - A female bounty hunter who fights space pirates and alien scum has my vote. :sunglasses:

My favorite video game hero : Solid Snake, from the Metal Gear Solid series.

My favorite video game villain also happens to be my favorite video game character and my favorite villain of all time : Revolver Ocelot. The only character that appears in every MGS game. He’s always smartest that you thought he was, and he has the coolest cut-scenes. You just have to play the games.

Falco has got to be the coolest Star Fox character of all. He is even cooler than fox. I will admit that Slippy, although cute, can get really, really annoying.
