Favourite Movie Characters

I’m surprised this hasn’t been brought up yet :bulb: anyhow (Pixar included), whoo are you favourite movie characters… i like (no particular order)

Rick Blaine (Casablanca)
Bill Harding (Twister)
Wicked Witch of the West (Wizard of Oz) ‘iiiiii’l get youuu my prettYYY’
Buzz Lightyear (TS obs )
Randle McMurphy (One Flew over the cuckoos nest)
Lt. John Chard (Zulu)
Lt. Gonville Bromhead (Zulu)
Caractacus Potts (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang)
Slinky (TS obs)
Ferris Bueller ('s Day Off)
Carl (Up)
George Bailey (It’s a Wonderful life)

Good question, Pixarinho*!

  1. Randall, from Monsters, Inc. Always has been my favourite since I first saw the movie, and always will be.
  2. The Dude/Walter/Donny from The Big Lebowski. I love how all three characters interact, their dialogue, what they go through together…They’re very strange but it works somehow. The Dude’s laid-back approach to thing contrasts highly with Walter’s aggression, which too contrasts with Donny’s naivity.
  3. Woody, from Toy Story. I love how, despite being a lead character, he expresses emotions that most of us wouldn’t like to admit to, such as jealousy. Love some of his dialogue as well.

I’m having a bit of a mind blank at the moment, but when I’ve thought of more I’ll add them to my list.

Funny you should have the Wicked Witch of the West on your list, Pixarinho*. I was just watching The Wizard of Oz today, and was thinking about how amazing she actually is.

This looks like fun!

Wall-E from Wall-E: Gives hope to hopeless romantics everywhere.

The Joker from Batman and The Dark Knight: The nihilistic antithesis to The Dark Knight.

John McClane from the Die Hard series: The unluckiest cop in the world who keeps being “in the wrong place at the wrong time”.

Sally from Cars: Porsche 911 FTW!

Sarah Connor from Terminator 1 and 2: Proof that mother knows best.

Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon: The cutest thing since Stitch.

James Bond from the James Bond series: The greatest secret agent that never died.

Remy from Ratatouille: An inspiration to those who never lose sight of their dreams.

Neytiri from Avatar: The most beautiful blue alien since The Fifth Element, brilliantly acted by the lovely Zoe Saldana.

Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Carribean: Johnny Depp’s most iconic role, played with roguish charm and infinite mischief.

These are a few of the top of my head. I’m sure there are many more if I dig through my back catalogue…

Stupid me, not said reasons why, ermm

Rick Blaine - Smart, Sharp dressing and very level headed, a person you’d like to be friends with , Bogart plays the part amazingly.
Bill Harding - Very likeable, like how he delivers his lines, ‘sounds gurrrd’, ‘look!, I may have walked about, but atleast i showed up in the first place!’ Funny and i like his temperment.
Wicked Witch of the West - Margaret Hamilton is amazing, nails the voice spot on, just perfect choice, and has amazing on screen presence, in my opinion the star of the movie.
Buzz Lightyear - Don’t have to explain…brave, heroic, funny, pretty stupid and so likeable
Randle McMurphy - Loony, I like how crazy he his, and how much he wants him and the inmates to have fun.
Lt. John Chard - Mr Heroic.
Lt. Bromhead - Love his arrogant attitude, Michael Caine steals the show in the movie, looooads of charisma.
Caractacus Potts - Such an idiot, funny, but very loving to his kids, and would do anything to save the day, and just a fun character.
Slinky - Loyal to Woody, i like some of his quotes, i like how he utilizes himself, very helpful being what he is, and his voice
Ferris Bueller - Too cool for school as they say.
Carl - As grump as he is, he’s funny when he hits that worker at the start with his walknig aid thing, but he does care about people especially towards the end
George Bailey - Really emotional guy, master Stuart brings out the heart in him, well rounded character, and with the movie been quite long it really gives him alot of development, as he gets sooo much screen time.
