Favourite Pixar Film Voice Actor?

Who is your

favourite voice actor from any Pixar film, and why?

Tim Allen, Because as John Lasseter said ?He is Buzz

Lightyear?

This is my 100 post

If I remember correctly, weren’t they considering Billy Crystal for the voice of Buzz Lightyear originally?

That would’ve been strange- I can’t imahine it at all…

But I agree, Tim Allen really is Buzz!

Your right they were trying to get Billy

Crystal to do Buzz’s voice. If Tim did not do the voice of

Buzz Lightyear I would be saying Tom Hanks is the best but thankfully

Tim Allen did do the voice of Buzz’s.

Dave Foley - I just love his voice for some reason.

John Ratzenburger - Ratz and burger? It’s like

the plot of Ratatouille is…encrypted into his name or something! (laughs) Yeah, I

like his voice, as well. I first saw him on an old Bill Nye the Science Guy video I

have.

Ellen DeGeneres - She was just perfect as Dory, no question about it.

Albert Brooks -

Another good actor; dead-on as Marlin.

Tom Hanks and Tim Allen - I put them together because they’re

such a fantastic duo in the Toy Story films.

Andrew Stanton - Because of

him, I now talk like Crush constantly.

And Billy Crystal was going to do Buzz? I’m so glad they

had him do Mike instead…

I think I’ll go with Stanton

too: he DID do Zurg too, ya know!

But besides him, I love the voice of Bud Luckey (Agent Rick Dicker, the

Jackalope AND the Sheep!)

And of course, the voice of Tippy from One Man Band

:stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

I like Sarah Vowell and Holly

Hunter. They did their roles in the Incredibles so well. Their mother/daugther collection touched my heart.

Agree wit what everybody’s said earlier so I

won’t repeat it. But to comment on Tippy, I never really noticed anyone actually spoke in "One Man

Band"

That’s what’s funny with my comment: And that’s why I

did a triple :stuck_out_tongue: . . .

Technically, she had

a voice. When she was sniveling after her coin got lost.

She makes one little, tiny

crying sound. Didn’t you notice? Geez!

This is a really tough decision… I’ll probably have to

break it down film by film like Mitch (welcome aboard, by the way ) did.

Toy Story - Wally Shawn as

Rex
A Bug’s Life - Joe Ranft as Heimlich
Toy Story 2 - not counting those from TS1, Wayne Knight as

Al
Monsters, Inc. - Billy Crystal as “Mike Wazowski!”
Finding Nemo - Ellen DeGeneres as

Dory
The Incredibles - Jason Lee as Syndrome
Cars - Tony Shalhoub as Luigi

All Ratzenbergers are

omitted in order to give the other voice actors their chance to shine.

Phoenician - Oh yeah, I forgot that he did Zurg! Heheh…

(Big laughs on your Tippy comment… )

The Star Swordsman - I agree. Holly

Hunter was the perfect Elastigirl, and Sarah Vowell “made” Violet.

DElf4242 - Why, thank you! I’m really enjoying it here, too! Wow. You

listed all of the other great actors that I forgot to mention in my post. Oh well. At least now I don’t have to

write them all down! I’m surprised that you didn’t put Guido on your list, since you have him as your avatar.

I love Guido to death,

but “Pit Stop” (however well-delivered) and a bunch of Italian isn’t enough to have me consider Mr.

Quaroni my favorite voice actor in the film.

8D How

did any of us not catch that before? Yeah, John is always a blast in Pixar

films.

My top favorite voice actors are all from The Incredibles:

Spencer Fox

- He was able to pull off Dash’s cockiness and enthusiasm perfectly with that cuuute voice of

his.

Sarah Vowell - No one else could’ve been Violet. It was meant to be.

My dad and I were lucky enough to meet her this February in Washington, D.C. I appreciate that she took the time

after her presentation to chat with us and sign a few things, because she had a rough night and wasn’t feeling

good. Sarah is a very good-natured person.

Michael Bird - Mmm, Tony

Rydinger…Oh sorry. That was the fangirl side of me. I also thought he was good in The Iron Giant. And during

pre-production, they had Michael voice Hogarth. He was almost him in the final cut, but they ended up giving

that role to Eli. However, you can hear Michael in the deleted scenes on the DVD.

Nicholas Bird - Nick voices Rusty in The Incredibles, but I really loved

him as Squirt in Finding Nemo. It can’t get any more adorable than Squirt.

I love how Brad likes to give

opportunities like that to his family. I’d do the same for my family if I

could.

Brad Bird - He’s E. That’s all the further explanation you need.

Jason Lee - He is so comical and intriguing. Plus, his voice is sex-xay.

Heehee.

Favorite voice actors from other Pixar movies:

Tom Hanks
Tim Allen
Wallace

Shawn
Wayne Knight
Joe Ranft
Steve Buscemi
Ellen DeGeneres

Guido Quaroni
and everyone else from The

PixarVixen -

Hehe! I know, it’s funny. I

always thought that Mr. Ratzenburger had a very obscure name, but now it seems to fit in with the Pixar

tradition!

Wow – very “standardized” list you’ve got there. And you got to meet Sarah

Vowell? I feel so jealous now.

 It was a fun night. Dash has seen her,

too.

Sarah’s always touring the country. Here is the link to the page with the dates and locations of

all her future

appearances:

[co

lor=indigo]Sarah is coming to West Virginia in April next year, and it’s sooo close to where I live.

I’m determined to see her again.

~~=oP

Oh man, I wish she came to San Diego.

Of course, E! Yes, Brad Bird as E was just

scarily perfect.
