So, there are now three

^ Sorry about

the quality on this one ^ But this is the only one with English writing. BTW, the Japanese trailer is

totally different from the US trailer.

My favourite is the Japanese trailer because it is so moving, and I like the music

as well. It’s just so sweet how they come together for one aim. The quotes in between the footage are clever as

well. This one brings a tear to my eye. In a good way, though.

But the US trailer comes as a

close second because it it just so funny!

I voted for the North

American trailer, just because it’s the one that got me excited the most about this film, perhaps because of the

plethora of new scenes that it offered. I liked the other two trailers as well, but the North American one is my

preference.

In the end, though, it’s the movie that counts.

I think it’s a Chinese

trailer, actually.

Anyways, I voted for the second option – it was slower and

took things steady. It showed you just enough that you got the basic plot of the film, but not too much so as to

spoil anything. It was also, as you said, much more moving and heartfelt. I absolutely love the pace and

ā€œstyleā€ of it. It also has the cutest shot of Remy at the very end of the trailer… <img src=ā€œ{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gifā€ alt=ā€œ:loves:ā€ title="In

Love" />

I picked the North American one. It looks more complete to me.

I

picked the North American trailer too. It looks really cool, But I also like the Japanese one, and I guess you

guys know why! All you have to do is look at my avatar and my siggy!

The ā€œNorth Americanā€ trailer is comical and action-packed,

but I LOVE Brad Bird as the waiter in the teaser. ;-p

~~=oP

PV: That was the reason why I was tempted to pick the teaser in this poll. Bird was so good as

the waitor, it took me a while to have a final decision.

North American for me!

I’m not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but there

are actually two different North American trailers. The Disney Channel sneak peak

and the theatrical one. There almost completely identical, except for the a special chandelier part after the

ā€œOaky Nutinessā€ for the DC…it replaces ā€œSorry, but we’re frenchā€. Another difference I

noticed was that the ā€œFrom the Director of the Incrediblesā€ is on a menu in in the theatrical and has

it’s own ā€œslideā€ on the DC…

Just wanted to see if anyone noticed this

before…

Mitch - Emile actually appears 3 times

in the Disney Channel trailer – he’s in the chandelier part!

Gasduude - Cha – I noticed that, too! I actually like the Disney

Channel's premiere of the trailer better, as that chandalier part was kinda cool-looking. I think

I know what part that is in the movie, but I wouldn’t want to spoil it for anybody.

So yeah, you’re

definitely right! Emile appears three times in the Disney Channel sneak peak

trailer. And you notice…that’s the only time that anyone’s name – Emile’s, in

this case – is actually spoken flat-out in the trailer. 'Cause Remy says, ā€œEmile! Wait for me!ā€.

Nobody else’s name is spoken aloud in any of the other trailers.

Mitch - Yah. And it was

pronounced eh meel instead of eh me lee, which was how

I thought it was pronounced!

I wonder what else I’m saying wrong!

To me, I didn’t like the Jap. Trailer that much because I think it gave a little too much

info before moving on to something else.

Gasduude - Ahh…no sweat. Everyone make mistakes. Heck, I thought that the ā€˜D’

in ā€˜Django’ wasn’t pronounced, but I realized my mistake on that one only a week ago. Heheh.

And

just because I had to mention it:

[spoil]I’m guessing that that ā€œchandalierā€ moment

is the part in the film where Remy and his clan are discovered by the farmhouse woman. If you recall (according

to a lengthy report on the film), the old lady starts shooting at the rats with her gun and ends up blasting her

chandalier, causing the whole roof to fall apart and a hoard of attic-dwelling rats to crash down with it; hence,

the whole ā€œEmile, wait for me!ā€ moment.[/spoil]

Hey, Mitch, where did you

get that spoiler? Can you give me a link or something like that?

Maggie - Heh – you know what? I forgot where I saw it.

Being the Ratatouille geek that I am, I know that I found it via some

website/article, though I can’t remember which. Sorry about that.

I

do know about 1/3 of the whole movie though. I can PM you and tell you all that I

know about it if you’d like. (snigger)

I’m watching the Movie Surfers one now. And

I had to stop half-way and ask-

Am I the only nut who pronounces it ā€˜Rat-tat-tooie’? =P

They

pronounce it ā€˜Ratta-tooie’ and it sounds silly. The way I say it sounds like a song and it sounds … spiffier.

Lol.

Not wanting to get off the subject but I didn’t wanna start a new topic- was just curious.

FONY - Haha – it

almost sounds like a jazzy encore or phrase…the way you say it. ā€œRat-tat-tooieā€. Heheh – that’s

kinda cool, actually! I like it.

But yeah, I don’t mind the regular pronunciation of ā€˜Ratta-tooie’.

It’s smoother sounding and…French. (snigger)

FONY - Yeah, I’m still having trouble prounouncing it: I was saying Rah -Tah -Too

 • EEE this whole time!

I think that was at Coming Soon, Maggie. I’m

guessing it was during the Comic - Con thing…you might want to google that.

Hey, I can’t

get that .avi file for the Chinese version to work on my computer, can someone upload that to YouTube? Pretty

Please?

I’ve seen it before, but that was on a different computer…

Isnt’ there a link to that

trailer on youtube already? I think I watched that yesterday.

I just downloaded the Japanese/Chinese trailer using that link, and it

works fine for me… Are you actually right clicking the link and downloading to your computer? Do you have a

program that can play .avi files?

EDIT: I have always thought that most French way to pronounce it was

ā€œRat-Tah-Tweeā€. Because when you say it fast enough it ends up sounding similar to

ā€œRat-a-too-eeā€, anyhow, but maybe that one was just easier to phonetically spell it, and for people to

understand.
