Favourite
Ratatouille trailer?
The teaser trailer
The Japanese full-length trailer
The North American full-length trailer
So, there are now three
different Ratatouille trailers released. Which one is your favourite, and why?
To view the different
trailers:

^ Sorry about
the quality on this one ^ But this is the only one with English writing. BTW, the Japanese trailer is
totally different from the US trailer.

My favourite is the Japanese trailer because it is so moving, and I like the music
as well. Itās just so sweet how they come together for one aim. The quotes in between the footage are clever as
well. This one brings a tear to my eye. In a good way, though.
But the US trailer comes as a
close second because it it just so funny!
I voted for the North
American trailer, just because itās the one that got me excited the most about this film, perhaps because of the
plethora of new scenes that it offered. I liked the other two trailers as well, but the North American one is my
preference.
In the end, though, itās the movie that counts.

I think itās a Chinese
trailer, actually.
Anyways, I voted for the second option ā it was slower and
took things steady. It showed you just enough that you got the basic plot of the film, but not too much so as to
spoil anything. It was also, as you said, much more moving and heartfelt. I absolutely love the pace and
āstyleā of it. It also has the cutest shot of Remy at the very end of the trailer⦠<img src=ā{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gifā alt=ā:loves:ā title="In
Love" />
I picked the North American one. It looks more complete to me.
I
picked the North American trailer too. It looks really cool, But I also like the Japanese one, and I guess you
guys know why! All you have to do is look at my avatar and my siggy!
The āNorth Americanā trailer is comical and action-packed,
but I LOVE Brad Bird as the waiter in the teaser.
~~=oP
PV: That was the reason why I was tempted to pick the teaser in this poll. Bird was so good as
the waitor, it took me a while to have a final decision.
North American for me!
Iām not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but there
are actually two different North American trailers. The Disney Channel sneak peak
and the theatrical one. There almost completely identical, except for the a special chandelier part after the
āOaky Nutinessā for the DCā¦it replaces āSorry, but weāre frenchā. Another difference I
noticed was that the āFrom the Director of the Incrediblesā is on a menu in in the theatrical and has
itās own āslideā on the DCā¦
Just wanted to see if anyone noticed this
beforeā¦
Mitch - Emile actually appears 3 times
in the Disney Channel trailer ā heās in the chandelier part!

Gasduude - Cha ā I noticed that, too! I actually like the Disney
Channel's premiere of the trailer better, as that chandalier part was kinda cool-looking. I think
I know what part that is in the movie, but I wouldnāt want to spoil it for anybody.
So yeah, youāre
definitely right! Emile appears three times in the Disney Channel sneak peak
trailer. And you noticeā¦thatās the only time that anyoneās name ā Emileās, in
this case ā is actually spoken flat-out in the trailer. 'Cause Remy says, āEmile! Wait for me!ā.
Nobody elseās name is spoken aloud in any of the other trailers.
Mitch - Yah. And it was
pronounced eh meel instead of eh me lee , which was how
I thought it was pronounced!
I wonder what else Iām saying wrong!
To me, I didnāt like the Jap. Trailer that much because I think it gave a little too much
info before moving on to something else.

Gasduude - Ahhā¦no sweat. Everyone make mistakes. Heck, I thought that the āDā
in āDjangoā wasnāt pronounced, but I realized my mistake on that one only a week ago. Heheh.
And
just because I had to mention it:
[spoil]Iām guessing that that āchandalierā moment
is the part in the film where Remy and his clan are discovered by the farmhouse woman. If you recall (according
to a lengthy report on the film), the old lady starts shooting at the rats with her gun and ends up blasting her
chandalier, causing the whole roof to fall apart and a hoard of attic-dwelling rats to crash down with it; hence,
the whole āEmile, wait for me!ā moment.[/spoil]
Hey, Mitch , where did you
get that spoiler? Can you give me a link or something like that?

Maggie - Heh ā you know what? I forgot where I saw it.
Being the Ratatouille geek that I am, I know that I found it via some
website/article, though I canāt remember which. Sorry about that.
I
do know about 1/3 of the whole movie though. I can PM you and tell you all that I
know about it if youād like. (snigger)
Iām watching the Movie Surfers one now. And
I had to stop half-way and ask-
Am I the only nut who pronounces it āRat-tat-tooieā? =P
They
pronounce it āRatta-tooieā and it sounds silly. The way I say it sounds like a song and it sounds ⦠spiffier.
Lol.
Not wanting to get off the subject but I didnāt wanna start a new topic- was just curious.

FONY - Haha ā it
almost sounds like a jazzy encore or phraseā¦the way you say it. āRat-tat-tooieā. Heheh ā thatās
kinda cool, actually! I like it.
But yeah, I donāt mind the regular pronunciation of āRatta-tooieā.
Itās smoother sounding andā¦French. (snigger)
FONY - Yeah, Iām still having trouble prounouncing it: I was saying Rah -Tah -Too
EEE this whole time!
I think that was at Coming Soon, Maggie . Iām
guessing it was during the Comic - Con thingā¦you might want to google that.
Hey, I canāt
get that .avi file for the Chinese version to work on my computer, can someone upload that to YouTube? Pretty
Please?
Iāve seen it before, but that was on a different computerā¦
Isntā there a link to that
trailer on youtube already? I think I watched that yesterday.

I just downloaded the Japanese/Chinese trailer using that link, and it
works fine for me⦠Are you actually right clicking the link and downloading to your computer? Do you have a
program that can play .avi files?
EDIT: I have always thought that most French way to pronounce it was
āRat-Tah-Tweeā. Because when you say it fast enough it ends up sounding similar to
āRat-a-too-eeā, anyhow, but maybe that one was just easier to phonetically spell it, and for people to
understand.
