i don’t hate it, i just don’t get how McQueen got from racing to shooting bad guys…
though it does seem to foreshadow (just a touch) Holly’s flying and shooting bad guys… or i could have been in English class too much…
i don’t know, the Hollywood stuff i can understand in a daydream, but not the virus-looking things… the Lightning Storm stuff, it just seems completely random
sally&Stickers: I don’t think that scene (the one with the big walking spark plugs) was supposed to be anything he thought he’d really do… I think that was supposed to be him dreaming of being in a movie. And that’s why he’s in Hollywood, cause he starred in a movie.
I hated all the dream sequences in the first Cars. They’re just too random. Especially the one starring Chick. And I never really think I got the meaning behind the dream with Frank.
“Not so fast, McQueen!”
“Not so fast? Is that your new motto?”
LOVE IT. <3 And yes, Francesco ranting like crazy and driving off is hilarious.
Whoa…good point there sally&Stickers! I never made that connection of him being in a movie and then the Hollywood thing. I always just thought he was picturing himself being a hero, and being super famous. Wow, I feel so lame for not figuring that out. It’s not my favourite part of the movie either but I love his spinners. And then the twins…“Ooooh, Lightning! Mw-ah! Mw-ah! Mw-ah!” I prefer that dream over the nightmare with Frank though.
For some reason, the twins kind of cracked me up in the first film. I don’t know why but it’s just the way they act as Lightning’s number one fans is what made me laugh.
LOL, they’re so annoying but they did make me laugh too. It took me like, what, five years for me to realize that when they meet Lightning after the opening race that they ‘flash’ him. I never made the connection with the headlights and stuff. OVER MY HEAD.
I love the twins! I mean they are so obnoxious but in that funny fan girl way. Plus, their different outfits are so cute! I think I have a picture of all their various costumes from the Cars Toons.
LOL, yeah, the nightmare scene must be a guy thing. I’m not a fan of most dream scenes to begin with, but I do enjoy watching Frank spew out Chick.
Haha, that’s the main reason why I like it. And then the part after the dream, when the little blue car is popping out of the alarm clock cone. That part always cracks me up.
I also like the part in the last race where the camera pans across the original RS group sitting on the hill and cheering… it reflected the the camera shot where they’re all cheering right before the Lightning/Doc race in the first film.
That’s right! Only that time Doc was there. That reminds of that scene from the first film with Luigi and McQueen. “Uno lap-o, I work solo me-o. No pitstop-o. Comprendo?”
