Female Rats in Ratatouille/Will Pixar Do a Female Main Char?

Just something I’m curious about - obviously all of the rats with speaking roles are male, but did anyone notice any overtly female rat characters in the background? I’ve only seen the movie twice, but I didn’t notice any. All the ones I remember seemed to be male.

Then, this got me thinking - I wonder if Pixar will ever do a movie with a female main character. Most Pixar films have had prominent, strong female characters, but the central protagonist has thus far always been a male.

List of whom, IMHO, the centralmost main characters in Pixar films have been. I’m open to differing opinions :

Toy Story - Woody and Buzz*
A Bug’s Life - Flik
Toy Story 2 - Woody and Buzz*
Monster’s Inc. - Sully
Finding Nemo - Marlin
The Incredibles - Bob Paar/Mr. Incredible
Cars - Lightening McQueen
Ratatouille - Remy

Upcoming:

Wall-E - Wall-E
Up - according to Wikipedia “a seventy-something guy”.
Toy Story 3 - presumably Woody and Buzz*

( * If forced to choose one mainest main character between Woody and Buzz, I would choose Woody, because I think both movies are a little bit more from his perspective.)
