Any fans of soccer out there watching the FIFA U-20? Well, I can imagine it being more on the Canadian side, since the cup is being hosted in Canada. Poland and Brazil are playing right now, and I’m rooting for Poland!!
Lemme know if you’re keeping track!
I am not really a soccer fan. I rather play it than watch it though.
Umm… okay… anyone watching this though??
If there is nothing good on TV, then I might just turn to view a couple minutes of it.
Oh, do you get it in the US (actually, I don’t know if you live in the US)? Well, they play Poland tomorrow! I’m going to be rooting for Poland though.
I still can’t believe they beat Brazil!!
I’m always interested to know the final score of a football game, but I never watch it on TV- I get bored too easily.
I have heard about the FIFA U-20, but haven’t really been keeping track on it.
Gah, what a crazy week! Both USA and Poland advanced to the next rounds out of their group! I got tickets to see the #1 team out of their group, so since it was the US, I will see them. Gaah… I wanted to see Poland!
Oh well… I wonder who the US will go against!
I am not a soccer fan, but since I live in the US, I am going to root for the US.
My team’s out (Japan). The Czech Republic beat us in penalty kicks in the round of 16. Over here, the Japanese people were hoping to win the U-20 World Cup this time because Japan was runner up in 1999. Good luck Czech Republic!
Hey Rey, sorry man. I like Japan too. Japan rocks, but I guess there is always next time right?
Oooooh, I saw Japan leading them 2-1, so I guess they caught up when I went to bed.
I went to the USA vs. Uruguay game last night and USA won! There were a LOT of Uruguay fans, so I kind of felt bad, but I was cheering for the US so I’m glad they won. It was my first soccer game and it was wicked!
I hope those who are actually WATCHING the games will post.
Go USA!
I’ll be cheering for them.
I’ve been following the games by newspaper and TV highlights only. I don’t have cable, but here in Japan I think I can watch delayed games after midnight of some games in the future. I would like the USA and Argentina or Mexico in the finals.
Talking of football, has anyone in America heard of David Beckham? I only ask because he and his wife have been all over the papers this week because apparently they’re ‘big stars’ worldwide now, and they’re ‘friends with Tom Cruise’ and all this sort of thing, and I was wondering if any of it was actually true.
I heard of Beckham. I can’t wait to see him play for us. He is so popular.
