Well, since it is exactly one month until Toy Story 3 finally comes out, I thought it would be fun if we shared with everyone our thoughts and opinions on what we’ve seen and heard so far.
As for me: I’m very curious as to how the Spanish Buzz scenes will play out. Also, I can’t wait to see more of Ken! Honestly, the movie keeps getting better and better, with all the ads that are out now.
I’m still finding it quite difficult to accept the reality that Toy Story 3 is even coming out at all. Admittedly, I’ve only seen one trailer and that’s pretty much it- I haven’t seen any adverts on the TV, no evidence of it in the ‘real’ world aside from a poster in my local cinema (which is now incorrect anyway)- so talking about it on here is really the only thing that’s making it feel real to me. I don’t think it’s really going to sink in until I actually sit down in the cinema and start watching it. It still feels like a bit of a dream.
11 years and it’s out in a month…
CURSE YOU USA
Honestly, my initiall buzz from first watching the teaser, the original trailer and second trailer has died down, albiet still excited. I’m more concerned than excited because I really hope it’s as good as the other two, and it doesn’t look as good it mearly looks like a very good pixar movie, i thought it would of been best to stop the series after the second.
But i will be pleasantly suprised if Lee makes it as good as the first two (or one ), albiet it’s a long shot.
Lol
I am excited, but I’m going in with the right expectations; at least a solid send-off to one of my fave series of all time.
I’ll admit, I’m already hyped up enough to see it (I’m afraid that the longer I wait, the more spoilers will sink in). I have very high expectations, because after two legendary predecessors, it’s impossible to go into this one with low hopes.
I think they’ve gotten off to an excellent start, though, with the premesis, mainly what they did with Andy. At the end of Toy Story 2, they left us with that question of what happens when Andy grows up. Another movie with Andy as a kid would just feel prolonged. Andy is also relatable as well, because I was a kid when I watched the first two, and now I’m grown up.
This also makes it emotional, but the minute I saw Spanish Buzz, I knew that lack of humor wouldn’t be an issue. One thing I do want to see more of is the space ranger Buzz from the new trailer.
I am really looking forward to seeing all the new characters! With such a huge ensemble, I hope Pixar doesn’t lose focus in the film.
I’m sure they won’t.
It’ll be interesting to see a toy story installment as an adult for the first time. I’m wondering if my jaded mind will have more criticisms than I had with the first 2. (which amounted to zero really). I still hold the first two just as high as I used to, but I cant help but wonder if nostalgia has anything to do with it. I don’t think so, but I cant be sure.
Its very surreal though, I remember being excited for this movie since the prospector made that remark about TS3 in the TS2 bloopers. I wondered if they secretly had something planned even then.
I kinda wish they weren’t doing another close open, I loved it in TS2, but since I’m going into this expecting it I’m not crazy about the idea anymore. other than that I dont see me having any complaints after seeing the movie.
Well, okay, I’ll miss the old Pixar castle title card we got in the first two movies, but that might not even be their call.
I forgot that scene entirely, 5 bucks says one of those Barbies is Molly’s Barbie in TS3. Way to go Prospector, you’re a man of your word!
It’s nice to know I’m not the only one. I miss the castle… and the music!
I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I watched the first in cinemas… I’m getting all teary-eyed nostalgic now.
And now we’re down to one month for the return of the gang. I can’t wait… in some ways I wish this will never end, but I also hope Pixar ends the trilogy on a high note and don’t follow Shrek’s path… mixed feelings, I guess.
But whatever happens to Buzz, Woody and the gang, I’m sure we’ll love it… let’s make this the best Toy Story ever, people!
Only 10? The first came out in 95, surely even the UK and other parts of the world got it before 1999.
Honestly, I remember being two (or three) and seeing Toy Story 2 on the big screen.
xD First time I watched it was when I was about 2-3 years old I’d say.
I was born on that same year, '95.
Agh! I’m so excited!
But but but I envy you Americans why do you get all cool stuff first and Holland takes too long aaargh
Haha, if they go with that, behind the scenes they might reveal that the two Barbies were stunt doubles.

Me too, me too, and me too!
I first watched TS way back with my cousins at their house when I was about 2 or 3. It was also my very first Favourite Film!
I was born in 1995 too, and it’s hard to believe that TS is as old as me. (Well, nearly. I’m 15 in July)
And yes, I’m 100% sure everyone here on the boards are very excited for TS3’s release, whether the dates are sooner or not.
Born 3 months before the release. I don’t remember this, but my mom tells me that if she plopped me down in front of TS, she’d have an hour and a half of free time because I was enthralled. Then, my mom tells me, she remembers that we saw TS2 then went to McDonald’s after wards and she’s disappointing that there’s no TS3 toys this year. As am I.
After 11 years, I was beginning to worry that this film would never come out, but I’m just in awe that it’s finally coming.
I know that films will sometimes die if the sequel, especially threequels flop, but I know this film will do good. ShoWest proved it, and with all the hype to see this film at last, along with the generation born with these films, and even adults who loved this film, it will be NO flop.
Toy Story 3 will not flop or bomb or suck. It will be close to the best of the Pixar films, surpassing most if not all so far. Call me overcrazy, but I think it’s a definite possibility.
I’m also concerned with how this film will make people cry - how can they do more emotional than Up? And what could be the “absolutely horrifying” situation the toys will be put through?
I know how the film ends - I accidentally spoiled myself with a pic on these very forums… but how do they get there?
I’m also worried about possilbe character deaths - Pixar has proved they’re not afraid to kill characters, see Up and Finding Nemo, but they can handle it perfectly.
But Toy Story 3 will be perfect… what we’ve waited for 11 years for, it’s coming. And we will be blown away.
But you know what’s the best secret? No matter what we know now, June 18th from midnight to 2 am will still suprise us all.

Your ‘final thoughts’ are a mine field to me. I was tempted to say something…but I know if I do, it could spoil any potential emotions that will occur.
One of my final toughts if this: how will Spanish Buzz work in Spanish speaker countries?
