Pretty dang neat.
Awesome! Thanks for posting that! It looks great!
wow…looks pretty good for wood. How many of these are they planning to make?
It’s in the link man . They’ve only made one.
Oh my gosh! It’s WOOD-E! Laugh out loud!
Nice one, Fett.
Hm… an environmentally friendly model of an environmentally friendly robot. Interesting.
That’s actually amazing. I want it. I mean, look at the details…gorgeous.
Thanks for the link, Fett101.
This is incredible.
I wonder how long it took Morpheus to craft that…
Wow that’s just amazing ! <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/youwhaaa.gif” alt=“o_0;;” title="You
Whaaa…" />
they should make more…better then just one.
Outstanding craftsmanship. But what else have they ever done? I couldn’t see anything at the link to the Morpheus group. Laser precision cutting is sure way beyond the garage operation of toymakers in my town.
I put on my very own precision-crafted thinking cap , you know, the one with the propeller on top and thought about it for a long, long time (about 12 seconds), then realized:
You Fools!
We just can’t have this. How will Wall-e be able to fix himself when he breaks down next if there is only one of him ?
That Morpheus guy needs to see the movie pronto.
Ok, finally found some more pictures from this organization, the Curvature umbrella group. They do models of airliners and military equipment, and especially models for products in design, to get more than just a computer generated image for prospectives to get their hands on. They also do real exhibition cars and furniture. Morpheus is just one of 4 companies in their group and one of the 4, Spacemodels, is 50 years old and was just recently bought. So, dont expect Morpheus to make many more copies, they are given the specs and make the models and let it fly with someone else. Just FYI.
Now where do you think Pixar got the Wall-e model that you see at the British premiere and various tv shows this summer? Probably a similar firm.
Wow! That’s one of the most amazing things I’ve seen in my life. They should have made one for Andrew Stanton too.
That’s pretty amazing. Great detail too!
Not only does WALL•E have the [spoil]crushing thing on the Lido Deck[/spoil] to worry about, but termites and fire, too! I agree with the others, that is outstanding craftsmanship right there, and it’s really cool that John Lasseter commissioned that work for himself to add to his collection. Great find, Fett101!
