I love Olaf and Sven. They are cute, and luckily they don’t seem very annoying. My favorite of the images is Anna with Hans, my opinion over the [spoil]potential love triangle[/spoil] still withstanding.
Anna looks gorgeous.
Not a surprise that they designed her that way, since she’s being voiced by Kristen Bell <3
I like her design too. I wish people would stop comparing this movie to Tangled. It’s not even out yet! And she looks as much like Jane and Ariel as Rapunzel. I think those comments are as unfounded as the people who cry that the new movies are CGI. Am I the only one who thinks CGI is just as beautiful as 2D when done right? People need to grow up and stop living in the 90’s.
No, you’re not
And I think this film will prove that point.
I hope so! I thought Tangled was beautiful. But not the “real Disney fans”, no. They’re too good for the “new Princess movies”.
I love the animation style, and I quite like the character designs too! Well, that snowman will have to grow on me. I’m tired of Anna being constantly compared to Rapunzel. They have facial similarities, but otherwise it’s just not there.
The teaser is kind of silly but then again aren’t most? It’s probably not very definitive of the film’s actual tone. I didn’t like any of the trailers over here for Tangled before that was out so I don’t expect to feel much differently towards these.
Plus from what they’ve released in interviews, her personality is very different from Rapunzel’s. I’m tired of all the whining.
I haven’t seen these interviews! Do you have any links?
That teaser was pretty cute, I must say. And I’ll definitely be seeing this movie as well!
I thought the teaser was fine. I wasn’t crazy about the elk, but some of the gags with the snowman were really creative. And besides, it’s just a 90 second teaser. I’m not sure what people were expecting. Just look what happened with Tangled - the trailers left much to be desired but the movie was really great.
Everyone at Disney seems particularly enthusiastic about Frozen, so I’m looking forward to it.
I can’t wait until this movie comes out. I plan to see it in theaters. I’m really disgusted, personally, by how people on the internet are reacting, when they haven’t even seen a scene of the movie. If you honestly think it’s a Tangled rip off you aren’t very smart.
Just to point out, he’s a reindeer.
I wasn’t so crazy about the teaser when I first saw it, but now I’ve warmed up to it and I’m even more excited than I was before.
It’s usually people who normally have not much better to do. What also gets to me as how a lot of 2D purists out there still complain about CGI. It’s like they had to adapt to it because now that’s all they have new to watch, so they’ll admit some are good, but they still try and tear apart any “weak links”.
I also never thought 2D was better than 3D. They are both awesome when used correctly. It’s pointless trying to tell people that now though because they stubbornly stick to what THEY think.
And you’ve got so many people who will pretty much just praise the “Disney Renaissance”, and even then they just repeat the same 4 titles over and over again (you guys know which 4, although they all are good). Which would be fine if the other great Disney films were acknowledged as well. Instead, it’s like “eh”. Personally, my favorite Disney era is the one we’re in right now. It’s my kind of flavor: so cute and innocent, yet smart, and pretty, and awesome…
Disney, why have you been so awesome these last few years?!
I’ve already seen people giving that poor snowman (I think Olaf was his name?) all the hate imaginable. I thought he was pretty silly first time I saw him in a still, but he definitely looks like he could be a funny little character after I saw the trailer. C’mon, give the guy some time. This is only a teaser. Maybe he’ll have an important role in the story in the actual movie. I mean, remember Ray from The Princess and the Frog? Well then!
And oh, that reindeer is adorable.
I agree LQ. I mean, yes we all love the Disney renaissance. But people need to give more credit to the movies from the Golden age, and hey, the pretty awesome movies they’re making now! People are too stuck in their ways.
I agree with the previous few comments!
Maybe I was slightly disappointed when I heard this wasn’t going to be traditionally animated, but only in the sense that there isn’t enough traditional animation in the industry now and heaven knows Disney handles it beautifully. But they’ve proven they can make CG every bit as enchanting and personal, so I couldn’t care less.
Maybe in a few years we can have a nice balance. I doubt it, but we can hope. However that’s no reason to hate on individual movies for not being traditional! People are so close minded.
I saw the trailer a second time when I saw MU. I went to the late night showing, so the audience was all adults, college students, high schoolers.
And I am very pleased that it got a positive review. People laughed and even clapped! Why am I glad? Because people were so unnecessarily harsh about it on tumblr.
People didn’t just say ‘I don’t like it" They were very, very hostile about it. “The end of Disney!” is one comment I saw. I thought that the hate the trailer got was completely unwarranted. I wont’ go on a big rant about it any more. XD
Every time a new movie comes out or is announced, people react the same way. Honestly, take off the freaking nostalgia goggles. The classics, in many respects, are not better than the newer movies.
