I thought we could all share some ideas about what we’d like to see in the supposed TS toons, the apparent Cars 2 short, and anything else. Remember to use spoiler tags if you talk about TS3 events like [spoil]Bonnie…[/spoil]

One thing that I’d like to see would be like a 30 minute Christmas special. While I have no clue on what it might be about…who doesn’t love a good Christmas special? lol

One idea I have would be to introduce [spoil]a sibling for Bonnie. Maybe just a year after the donation or so, you see the day of her little brother’s birth (which would be special to all of Andy’s toys, cuz it’s like starting over). Maybe she leaves them all at home after a playtime, to go to the hospital for the final day her mom will be there as the baby is being prepped. You see them all go to sleep that night while Bonnie spends the night at the hospital for the last night, and it fades out to black, as you hear a baby start to cry. Then it skips foward through a little montage until the baby is a little over walking age, and he’s like absolute torture to the toys when Bonnie’s not around, like the daycare children. Like, Mr. Potato head is back to ‘babysitting’, and Buzz gets tossed around and loses a wing or something, And just when it’s like “Poor toys, what a miserable life”, and you can’t take the torture anymore, Woody wakes up from his dream to the REAL baby crying coming home that night, and Bonnie shows all the toys her new brother, and talks about how he’ll play with them, when he’s old enough, and you see a glimpse into the future of the kid being nice, and holding and smiling at Buzz and Woody, and you see it fade to the exact same kind of scene with Andy when he was little, as it plays reminescent music, then flashes back to reality. Something like that, so now even a few years when bonnie is too old, you know her brother is still caring for them. And they’re getting Andy back…in a way[/spoil]

What are y’alls ideas for future stuff?

I was thinking giving minor characters (Rocky, Lenny, Robot) more important roles in the Toy Toons. Maybe Rocky is part of a collection line? Lenny given a key role in saving Woody and Buzz? Robot sacrificing himself to save another toy?

Two things I want from these is 1) that they make it relevant to the current timeline; Toy Story Treats were a great example of how the shorts should be handled, except there was no place that they could really fit in and 2) make it good (I think they got that covered).

Some good settings could be a story after the events of Toy Story 3 (most likely), or between Toy Story 2 and 3 (there is a LOT of time to work with).
Like it’s been suggested, I want to see more of the minor characters. [spoil]Bonnie’s toy’s got minimal screen time[/spoil], while some of Andy’s toys weren’t explored at all. Hopefully, we’ll see the return of some certain beloved characters as well…

I would like to see more of the past, maybe [spoil]Bonnie and her mom go visit Andy’s mom for some reason, and bonnie goes upstairs with Molly and Molly will play with her, and it shows flashbacks of how Andy used to play with Molly the same way. Meanwhile downstairs, we see more video footage of young andy that andy’s mom is showing Bonnie’s. It’d be awesome to see what mom might have recorded during the birthday from the first movie, like some footage of Andy opening Buzz…it’d be especially awesome in the new and improved animation. Maybe in a frame or two you get a glimpse of the Army men in the plant.[/spoil]

i definitely think at least a couple of the short need to deal with the time between 2 an 3. in ts3 we got a wrap-up of that in-between time in like 30 seconds, and it didn’t even really show when andy was growing up, just the period of/immediately after 2. dang it, i want bo to return.
