After hearing such good things about it on other forums, I decided to rent the DVDs. This is probably one of the most amazing animated series ever made! The storylines, the characters, everything just blew me away! Anybody else heard of this show?

I remember watching the show as kid, it was my favorite. I can’t remember much about it, though, it’s been ten years since I last saw that shwo. It never went on TV again after they cancelled Gargoyles in Germany 
I would give anything to watch the show again.
I had the Gargoyle action figures when i was little as well as dressed as one for halloween! haha i was obsessed! I havent seen the show in forever though 
Wait a second, are seasons 2 and 3 on DVD?! I have the first season, that’s all I knew was out! I rediscovered this series a few years, back, and I LOVE it! This was the first credit of Ed Asner I knew about, so when I heard that Hudson was gonna be Carl, hehe, the rest is history.
Seriously though, I love this series. It made Keith David’s voice stick out to me like a sore thumb for one thing, and the characters are fantastic! I also love the tie-ins with mythology, and the story in general is just awesome (although, I hate how Goliath, Bronx, and Elisa are away from the clan for like ALL of season 2, that’s just irritating)
I used to watch Gargoyles all the time when I was a kid! I loved it! It’d be great to watch it again now. I might have to find the DVD’s at some point!
I remember that show. I use to love that show sigh I miss being a kid. Hmm… I should probably make a trip to FYE and see if they have any DVDs there. Hey Woody I don’t know if you finished watching all the DVDs, but if you haven’t then enjoy yourself I think you are in for a treat. 
I just found out that Gargoyles was supposed to be turned into a live-action movie back in the late 90’s!

Oh my gosh! Nostalgic overload! I remember watching this as a kid and enjoying it although I don’t understand the plot at all (It’s a bit like Batman: The Animated Series in terms of art style and storyline complexity). Well, it was only a few episodes whenever I was at my grandma’s house, but I liked the premise! Stone by day, warriors by night!
And my word, I didn’t think I’d say this about an animated stone creature, but Demona is hot! Used to have a crush… anyone else share this sentiment, or am I crazy?

This is actually the only classic Disney Afternoon show that they still show on Disney XD. Apparently Disney still can’t deny the huge fanbase that this show has. Too bad they only want to keep the shows of theirs that are considered “hip” enough on and throw away the likes of DuckTales and Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers.
WHOO! Guess what? I just started SERIOUSLY getting back into this series, and in a very big way. Turns out co-creator Greg Weisman is still at it, producing a somewhat short comic to replace the non-canon 3rd season (The Goliath Chronicles), but Disney still owns the rights, preventing him from doing much with the series. I just hope things go well for the guy, and he gets his baby back.
I cannot recommend this show enough to anyone. Amazing. I really hope some of you guys start watching it, and support it, we might see a revival someday.

I adored the first two seasons of Gargoyles- especially the relationship between Elisa dn goliath, but the completely platonic relationships were amazing too.
I both loath and pity Demona on sucha high level- so badly mistreated for so long… But her pain was as a result of her own mistakes and betrayals.

Not sure how many people know this, but you know that Disney film Atlantis: The Lost Empire? Well the sequel they made was meant to be the pilot for a series called Team Atlantis which, if it had been made, would have had some kind of crossover with Gargoyles. Not quite sure how they’d make that work, but it sounded really interesting.

Yeah, I heard something about that, would be kinda interesting. Atlantis was a pretty solid movie, and I think the incorporation of mythology could make a nice coupling with the Gargs.

Also, the entire series, seasons 1, 2, and the illegitimate season 3 (only the first episode is considered canon) are all on youtube, so you guys should check it out. If you enjoy them, support Greg Weisman, and order the season 1 and the first part of season 2 on DVD. I still don’t have season 2 part 1, but I’ll get it soon! 
Oh my Gravy, I love this show!! I love Goliath and Elisa so much!! I wish they would make a movie out of it.
Disney did announce they were working on a live-action currently untitled gargoyle movie last summer. Unfortunately, it’s not based on Gargoyles. What’s really frustrating to fans of the series is that what little has been revealed of the premise - ancient gargoyles awaken in a modern day city and become its protectors - sounds exactly like the TV series. And if the two properties do end up being similar yet different enough to potentially cause confusion, it could really hurt the chances of Gargoyles getting any new projects off the ground.
But there’s hope. Numerous people who read the press releases and even a few new sites that didn’t read the press releases very carefully jumped to the conclusion that the movie would be based on the TV series. Nearly every comment I saw on the announcements on various sites was either “Is this based on Gargoyles” or “Why isn’t it based on Gargoyles?” Some of the show’s fans created a Facebook group with information on how to contact DIsney and urge them to base the movie on the show.
Keep in mind, this proposed movie is still in the very early concept/pre-production stages. It could easily get shelved before much work is done. Or, if we’re lucky, Disney could realize that the Gargoyles brand still has some clout and that they’re much better off using it than not.
