Glory Days Supers

Most of us know these Supers bcuase they

were test subjects for Syndrome’s Omnidroid. I thought it might be intresting o have a topic just for them.

Anything you guys would like to share or say about the Supers of the Glory Days, just put it here.

Nice topic, The Star Swordsman

One of

the reasons why I love the “Super Files” bonus feature on the second disc

of The Incredibles dvd is because inside information about those

“behind-the-scenes” characters are revealed. The viewers have a chance to read more about each

individual, hear their personal quotes and opinions on certain “super” matters, and gain an over-all

more extended knowledge of those select few heroes who tragically lost their lives to Syndrome’s ingenious

technology.

I think my favorite has to be Hypershock. He has such a

“drunken” and over-exciteable personality. I love that one fact about him that claims that he desires

“lots of praise”.

Gamma Jack, or whatever the name of that

dude is, was a pretty funny and interesting guy as well. And that goes for the fast-talking

Blazestone, the laid-back but mysterious Psychwave, and

the short-lived Thunderhead. They’re all great characters really. Just goes to show

how much Pixar really does care about their creations; they spend some time to give them each a unique and often

hilarious personality.

What

Mitch said, plus I think there was one that was really dumb or something…anyway,

the audio interview with him was absolutely hilarious!

And yes, it shows Pixar truly does care

about there characters when seemingly un-usefull characters are given a page were their powers are laid out and

an audio interview!

All this is making me excited for the Ratatouille

DVD…Let’s hope Mr. Bird will be as nice to us as he was with The

Incredibles one!

Out of all of the Glory Day Heroes, (not counting Mr.

Incredible, Frozone, etc), by favorite one has to be Psycwave. I think it her mental powers are cool She could

control one’s mind, telekinesis, and mind reading. She, unsurprisingly, is very similar to Professor X in the

X-men. What I don’t understand is, why did she get such a low threat-rating in the Kronos Database? According to

her profile, she is one of the most powerful Supers.

Hmmm. I cant say I have a fav. Some of them seemed

kinda interesting. (Whoever that was that could take over people’s minds for example) I wasnt not totally

impressed by some of their names but i can see where naming superheroes may not be very easy…

Npoe. I don’t have a favorite. I’ve only

listened to a couple of them (some of which weren’t even avalible) .

Here is a

question. Each Glory Days Super has their own interview. Which one is your favorite and why?

The

Star Swordsman - “Hypershock” – he is my absolute favorite

when it comes to the super interviews. Just that annoying, irritated and “drunk” attitude of his had me

laughing so hard.

I really like Psycwave’s and Elastigirl’s. It is cool how Psycwave reflects teenage life. It is also

intresting how Elastigirl takes care of her clothing situation. And Stormicide is a funny one too. The

“butt” of jokes.

The Star

Swordsman - Heheh – yeah, Elastigirl’s profile/interview had me crackin’ up. And yeah,

Stormicide. That was her name! I couldn’t think of it… (snigger)

I also

love how Mr. Incredible immitates one of the super’s whole “yodeling” thing. Pretty funny. Sometimes

I’ll start quoting that just for laughs. Oh, and you know Blazestone? I can talk

that fast. No seriously, I’m not kidding you. :stuck_out_tongue:

I am still having trouble comprehending

what she was saying. Once I have finished figuring out what her first sentence was, she is already on her seventh

sentence. Holy cow.

Haha – I can actually understand her pretty clearly; it’s just remembering everything that she said that’s

the challenge. I’m going to make it a point to memorize everything she says so that I can write it down.

By the way, who was the guy who talked about “peanut butter and chocolate”? It was

Gazerbeam, right?

Yes, Gazerbeam. A great example of the leader/loner Super. (I would know. That is my

kind of personality) He has the “Do it my way, or I do it alone” kind of attitude. This probably

explains the reason why the Thrilling Three was disbanded because of Gazerbeam’s personality.

But on a

lighter note, I do love his Super Power. Lazer vision was a favorite Super power of mine when I was little.

My thoughts exactly. Whenever I

talk with you I am almost instantly reminded of Gazerbeam. No offense - it’s a compliment. Heh.

And

yeah, I also love the lazer vision/power ability. Only bad thing is that, if you had that power, you would never

be able to look at anybody in the eye for too long…otherwise… Well, Gazerbeam explained it. :stuck_out_tongue:

He has a striking resemblence to Cyclops. But with an attitude of Wolverine. So I

think it is safe to say a Wolverine trapped in Cyclop’s body.

Let’s go

to the next batch of Supers. Let’s talk about thefive Supers that were killed by a Super Suit

“malfuction”: Thunderhead, Stratogale, meta Man, Dynaguy, and Splashdown.

Eheh – I felt bad for

Stratogale. What a horrible way to kick the bucket. And the ironic thing about all

this is that Syndrome suffered the exact same fate. Heh.

I’m not surprised that

Thunderhead “got it” in the end. His IQ wasn’t exactly high, but then

anybody could get their cape snagged on a missile fin. :stuck_out_tongue:

It is extremly pityful for Stratogale as she is teenaged Super Hero. She is a Super in High

School. I found it really tough to see that she had to die really early in her life. Then again, that is what

Capes will do to you.

Was Hypershock the dumb one? If so he’s my favorite!

All he said was stuff like

“Stay in school, kids…” and “Is that all I have to say…”. It was great!

The Star Swordsman - I know

– it’s pitiful. And the same goes for Gamma Jack and that other male superhero

who’s name escapes me – they were also very young at the time of their death.

Gasduude - Heheh – Thunderhead was the guy you

are thinking of. I was laughing pretty hard during his interview, too. (snigger) :stuck_out_tongue:
