Google+

Anyone on Google+? Feel free to add me @ plus.google.com/110617426096090854793/ I’ll add you back.

It’s out? OH MY GOD!!! I’m making an account right now. And adding you.

I’m actually incredibly annoyed that people under the age of 18 are using Google+.

I was finally relieved to have a site I could go to that didn’t have immature folks (for the most part) running rampant all over the site, like the rest of the internet.

Now everyone is getting in by lying about their age, and I’m really disappointed.

I’m not saying this about any of you guys in particular, but I was like, really? Really.

What do you mean? I didn’t lie about my age, and it let me in. Who is lying?

Hmm, when I signed up for the beta quite some time ago, it was advertising that Google+ was only open to people ages 18 and up. That’s where I got that idea.

I wasn’t trying to lie, that’s just the impression I was under. D:

I think only the beta was limited then. And I wasn’t saying anyone was lying, I just wasn’t sure what you meant. Anyway, as if anyone cares, here’s my account.

I’m deleting my facebook account on Monday. :-D) :whip:

Sorry to confuse people. ;~; pretend I never said anything. :'D

Anyhoo, I have a Google+ account. It was cool and stuff the first few days, but I quickly lost interest in it. As much as I hate Facebook, I don’t think I’m ever going to completely switch over to Google+. Not enough people I know use it, and I found it quite difficult to figure out how to use.

Twitter will always be my favorite. Whoop-whoop~

What is Google+?

Nevermind, apparently you do have to be 18. My life is now ruined. :frowning: I wanted one reallllyy bad.

Or you can have your parents sign up for you.

You can take it from me, IV… besides being more streamlined, there’s nothing about Google+ that’s really any better than Facebook. With Facebook, I feel like I don’t have any privacy, though I go to great lengths to ensure complete privacy from anyone I’m not friends with.

With Google+, I’m also worried about the privacy of my posts. I find the “circles” setup to be kinda weird. It’s like, how many of the people you have in your different “circles” can actually see your posts? What if I don’t want everyone to see them? Can people who add me see my posts, even if I’m not friends with them?

It’s really confusing. I tried messing with the settings, but they don’t seem to be very thorough, much like Facebook.

On the plus side (pun not intended), I had a few Pixarians add me on G+. It was a humbling thought that they could potentially see some of the fan art I had posted up.

Anyway, it’s a lose-lose situation, I guess. I’m not big on social networking and the only sites I really have enjoyed continually are Twitter and Tumblr. But that’s just me. shrugs

So, I cheated. made another email address(I know some of you will hate me for this, but I don’t care. I was not going to wait for Google+ to come out of beta.) I think it’s pretty cool!

And little-chef, you send messages to individual circles. So, for example, I could send a certain message that would embarrass me in front of my RL friends to only the "Pixar Planet"circle. I think it’s way better and more user friendly than face book. Just my opinion.

I respect your opinion, but facebook has been good to me, and if I want people to bug off, I can block them, remove them from my friends list, or just edit my privacy settings.

But I don’t want my real life friends seeing me being dorky. They know I am, but I don’t want to annoy them. I don’t care much about “privacy”, as I love being friends with people. I would add anyone. I would just with hold information from anyone suspicious.

I guess I can understand that.

I always get the feeling that whenever I say something targeted at my online buddies, I’m annoying my friends from school and church. Or that I’m shutting them out or something.

I guess if you want to target someone specifically, just send them a personal message.

Yeah. I would, but in that instance I mean mainly like 4 or 5 people at a time. I suppose I could send messages to those people, I just never thought of it.

Oh., okay.

Man, I am so relieved to see some of my friends from Pp and real life getting accounts! I thought I would be alone for like, a month.
