It’s really bad.

(I Googled it, so this was one of the more detailed reports I dug up.)

I’m all over this right now cuz my church has connections with a bunch of people in the small town of Vignier, a few miles away from Port au Prince. It was so bad, the Presidential Palace there completely collapsed, and that’s one of the better-built buildings there. They’re talking death tolls reaching into the thousands, and fast.

Yeah, I saw a newsflash about that a few hours ago. My condolences to the families affected, and may this crisis be over soon… :frowning:

Dude, when I saw this on yahoo news, I was shocked. I’m praying for all of the affected families.

Yah, just heard about it this morning and I looked at some pictures a while ago. I guess I’m just stating what’s been repeated so many times, but it’s absolutely devastating. My classmates and I are triyng to see if we can go around the school collecting money to send by mail to the Red Cross. If anyone on here can, please do lend any form of help.

This is really serious. That was a big quake, and from what I hear, Haiti’s buildings weren’t very well prepared for earthquakes. My heart goes out to those who are affected.

What a horrible tragedy. I’ve been watching the news throughout the day and it just keeps getting worse. My thoughts and prayers are with all who are affected.

Apparently some of the cast members are ‘missing’ - there’s a few that Disney hasn’t heard back from. One of my managers went on vacation with his family and they haven’t heard back from him yet. I hope they’re all alright …

It’s terrible when something like this happens, especially on such a large scale. I’d heard that too, mo, it seems as though this sort of thing doesn’t happen often there even on a smaller scale. My thoughts are with the friends and family members of those in Haiti.

Keep the people of Haiti in your prayers…they are beginning to suffer but its going to get harder. Being the poorest country in the western hemisphere is hard enough but with all that they had in ruble and in pieces they just got even worth. I pray that God will bless them and that through this time the world will come together and finally get something right for a change.

That is really sad. I mean, almost 50,000 deaths so far. That’s unfathomable. My thoughts go out to everyone affected.

Such a devistation to happen to a country that could already cope with a tragedy like this the least. My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected, and I hope for a speedy recovery, that Haiti will be able to get back on their feet real soon.
