Happy 4th Birthday!!! :D

Oh Cars… <3

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday, dear Cars.
Happy birthday to you!

A lot happened in 4 years. Today isn’t just a day for me. As stupid as it may sound today is a day where I sort of look back on my life since Cars because something about the movie changed me. There is a reason why I love Cars and I never really shared with you guys why. I’m afraid of saying why because I think I would look like a loser. Part of the reason why I started to like Cars was because of my loser status in sixth grade…not fun.

The movie has taught me many lessons over the years. I was 11 when I saw it. I didn’t really understand things the movie said. For example:
“Life is a journey, enjoy the trip.”
“There’s more to racing than just winning.”
“Congrats on the loss me bucko.”
“You’ve got a lot of stuff kid.”
“I fell in love…with this.”
“It’s just an empty cup.”

I was too young to really take it all in. I wasn’t really one those mature little kids. I acted like, well, a little kid. I don’t know how to explain it better than that.

As I got older, the movie got older and started to seem deeper. It seemed that the story line was starting to pop out more and I learned more. I learned to slow down with life. You only live once…
I can tear up when I think of how much Cars meant to me then and how much more it means to me now. When I get older it’s going to mean even more to me because once I am an adult, Cars will be my childhood. I don’t think I will ever lose my affinity for this movie.

Thank you, Pixar for showing me that life isn’t about the bumps in the road that get in your way. Thanks for showing me that it’s about driving around them and enjoying the journey with no regrets. If I let a bump in the road stop me, then how can I ever drive forward?

Thank you, Pixar for helping me enjoy the trip.

Happy Birthday Cars! I still remember seeing you on opening day 4 years ago, the first Pixar movie I saw in theaters.

Happy Birthday Cars! I remember seeing this movie opening day with my friend, who was not really excited to see it, and then we both came out of the movie and he said he was converted into a Pixar worshiper. Cars, you are such an awesome movie and, like x3haijessiex3 said, you have some awesome quotes and stunning animation.

Once again,
Happy Birthday Cars!

Yeah,Happy Anniversary Cars! Now here we are 4yrs later…and next year is the sequel!I remember when I first saw Cars.I actually had a countdown of the weeks, days, and hours leading up to me seeing the movie… :stuck_out_tongue:

To the movie that changed my entire view on Pixar and led me down this road to where I am now, thank you, and have a very Happy Birthday!

The journey is far from over, with the next intersection just ahead in 2011!

Happy anniversary to my favorite animated film ever! Ah the Summer of 2006, when I went to see Cars every chance I got…Good times

Four years? I’m getting so old! I still remember seeing it in theaters!
I don’t know what my life would be like with out Cars. Cars is the movie that got me to start appriciating Pixar, and becoming a fan!
Thank you Cars!

Yay!!! Happy birthday, Cars!!!

Happy fourth bithday, Cars! Does not seem like it’s been that long at all!

It’s really interesting to hear how Cars has made a difference to your life, haijessie. I like your analogy about bumps in the road, it’s very true that it’s not worth dwelling over them.

To me, Cars is one of those films that improves with multiple viewings, something that can be appreciated more over time.

Four years . . . It still feels like only three. It’s kinda funny looking at my 11 year old little sister and thinking, “That’s how old I was when I first saw Cars.”

Sure in the past year, my love for the movie has dwindled (you’ll still catch me watching it, but it’d be even more rare to catch me buying some new Cars merchandise or making another fanvid for it), but Cars was truely the symbol of my later childhood (that, and Danny Phantom). And I owe a lot to this movie. Especially for helping me find my passion: writing.

I’ve always had a big and bright imagination, always thinking up new things, and when I saw Cars, I couldn’t stop myself from thinking up of what could happen. Would Lightning and Sally get married? Will Lightning finally win the Piston Cup? Can Mater ever find his own true love? Since there was no way those answers could ever be given, I had to think up of them. And the more ideas I got, the more I realized, I never wanted to forget them. So I started to write down the little ideas I got. Soon, those ideas involved into stories. And there it started, my love for writing.

So thank you, Pixar, for creating such a wonderful movie with such a true storyline. Four years may have came and gone, but this movie will always be remembered in my mind.

Congratulations to Cars, and a happy brithday. I remember very well going to see this at my local movie theater with my cousin.

To me, it always seemed like Cars ushered in the new era of Pixar, and for that I am thankful.

Four years already? My goodness, my die-casts don’t look as old as they are, lol

That means four years since I’ve watched my second favorite Pixar film, and one year since I’ve logged in. o.o

Cars was a lot of my firsts. It was the first movie I saw the day it opened, the first movie to have a video game that I beat, the subject of my first fan fiction, and the first movie I watched with my first boyfriend.

And I’m proud to say that last moment was a little more than two months ago.

Wow… just wow. It doesn’t seem like it’s been that long since it came out.

I think just to celebrate, I’ll watch the movie tonight

Aww…hey where have you been?Remember me?

So I was getting all geared up to write this award-winning, 20-page inspirational speech that would bring tears to everyone’s eyes, and it was going to be about how this movie changed my life and how it seemed like just yesterday when it came out. Ah, how time flies…

Unfortunately, I’m not exactly the most qualified person to say this, since I just saw this movie for the first time a little over a month ago. I don’t own all the die-cast toys, nor did I stick through the full four years with this movie. I’m definitely not the biggest Cars fan out there, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t really love and respect this movie. I think that it’s pretty safe to say that Cars has change my outlook on life quite a bit, especially the whole “slow down and enjoy life” message.

Also, I credit this movie with bringing me into the whole Pixar scene. I knew about their existence before but I never once did I even stop to think for a second that animated movies might be actually be good, until I saw this movie completely by chance. Some of you have been Pixar fans since the beginning, so imagine taking all those years of awesomeness and jam-packing it into a single glorious afternoon of revelation. I almost died from shock because of the sheer amount of awesomeness I was bombarded with!

Anyways, to this day, Cars still remains one of my favorite movies, if not my favorite.

So happy 4th birthday, Cars!!!

Well, that sounds a lot like how I got into Star Trek! Anyway, that’s a great story! If only more people could realize that. What other movies did you watch/get into after seeing Cars?

I’m only really into Cars and Toy Story. Mostly Cars

Edit: I like all Pixar movies but Cars is the one that stole my heart and so did Toy Story but like I said, Cars stole it harder.

That’s the same with me! Toy Story captivated me first (I was a Pixar fan before I could really even talk!), but Cars was the movie that sealed me as a Pixar fan.

Again, a full four years . . . doesn’t seem possible.

Today is JUNE 9, 5 YEARS AGO, a film that changed my point of view about life and CGI animation was released

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARS
