Happy belated birthday, Jan Pinkava

I wanted to post

this, but my account became inactive.

June 21 was Jan Pinkava’s birthday, so Happy Belated birthday.

Jan actually left Pixar last year after being replaced by Brad Bird as the director of

Ratatouille .

Well, happy belated birthday Jan Pinkava. What else did she do at Pixar?

TSS - Jan is a man.

He also wrote and directed

Geri’s Game .

Oops, forgive me Bill. I loved

Geri’s Game. Jan was really clever the way he wrote and directed it.

TSS - He was the original director on Ratatouille as well.

I know JV. Bill mentioned that

in the first post.

Opps, I guess I

did not read that part.

Don’t

worry about it. We all have our mistakes.

I’ve

never heard of Jan Pinkava before, but it’s pretty cool that he wrote and directed Geri’s Game- that’s one of

my favourite shorts. So, happy birthday to him!

Happy belated birthday, Mr. Pinkava! My compliments to

you for conjuring up the crazy, albeit fantastic, idea of a rat who longed to become a chef…

Happy birthday, Mr. Pinkava!

Mitch - I just knew you were going to write that… But I

totally agree with you!

Maggie - Haha! Yeah, well, the film changed my life! I gotta thank the dude for

that… (snigger)

Well happy birthday to him then! Hope it was a good one!

I believe he’s still credited as a co-director on Ratatouille, although it’s not in the usual place right after the director, but instead down on the scroll after the cast. So, has he left Pixar for good, cause I was just hoping that Brad Bird was helping him on this one project and that Jan would return to do some more short films.

Jan was mentioned in the credits of Ratatouille right?

Happy belated birthday!!!
