Thanks, everybody! Spending my birthday on planes and in airports wasn’t really my first choice (and they didn’t even upgrade me to first class as a present!), but finally getting home was certainly a fantastic end to the birthday. And I get to say that I had the unusual experience of a 48-hour birthday thanks to our good friend the International Date Line. And when I got home my family had loads of pirate-themed stuff for me, in addition to all the Aussie-themed gifts I’d gotten before leaving, so I’m pretty happy.

OK - The IDL thing is pretty sweet and that alone will be worth telling the kids some day…
But Happy Birthday and I hope it was one long blast and a half!

Lucky Delf! A Pirate themed party sounds so cool! Glad you had so much fun man!
Dash: I know, I think it more than makes up for the fact that half the time I didn’t know what day it even was. 
TSS: Not really a party so much, just a gift-opening session with my family, but it was pretty sweet nonetheless. Got a skull-and-crossbones belt that I’ll be proudly sporting to school every day from now on, and plenty more stuff along the same lines.
