Happy, ! Diez y seis de Septiembre !

Happy diez y seis de Septiembre!

To those here who do not know about what this event is and to share to you what this national event in the country of Mexico (save people who live in far southwestern USA states) is about,
Today (as a person of Mexican origin and possibly only one on Pixar Planet), is the day that people of México celebrate their independence day on September 16th which is what ‘Diez y seis de Septiembre’ means from spanish. The day today is also known as ‘El grito de México’ which means, The Cry of Mexico.

Now I shall say the two words that Mexicans have and will always be saying on this day of their country since the day we won Independence from Spain on 16th of September, 1810:
¡VIVA MÉXICO!

I was in Mexico last year when this holiday came around. Fun times!

Happy whatever the name of that holiday is (man, is that a long name right there).

Happy diez y seis de Septiembre then! Hey, I learned something new and I am not in school today!

Bill:

The saying is quite the same as what you people in USA make known of your country’s Independence day name which would be ‘4th of july’ in english.

Welp, that is the same for Méxicanos by what Diez y Seis de Septiembre means ìn english: 16th of September

But it is, Mexican Independence Day. So you could rather say that and related instead of the name of the day in the country language if ya like

Oooh, sounds like a big celebration, DD! Happy Mexican Independance Day!
