Has your theater taken out Wall•E yet?

we still have 2 theatres with walle playing
i believe they are still rather strong

No intention to degrade my favorite movie of all time, but i’m surprised that Wall•E is still hanging by a thread in one of the theaters in my town. One showing on matinee, but it’s only days until it hits the dollar theater :stuck_out_tongue:

Wall-E is still playing at a lot of theatres here… but what has happened is that it’s now been out long enough to where it makes the “2nd run” theatre circuit (though there are less and less of those cheap theatres left now it seems). There’s a theatre down by where my cousin lives that is $3 all the time (even nights), and they play movies that have been out for a little while. They just started Wall-E today (they got KungFu Panda about a month ago, and Iron Man a week or two ago).

Here in Seattle, it’s still being shown at half a dozen cineplexes with an average of 4-6 showings a day. None of the second-run theaters have gotten it yet.

Still showing on 19 screens within an hour-and-a-halves drive, including one at 10:20 pm

I just saw it again tonite for the 15th time at the 7pm showing. Its been relegated to one of the smaller rooms in a dead-end hallway. But it was HALF FULL :astonished: , with over 50 people!

------its still showing in Emeryville…

15 times? That’s dedication, DHOSW! :open_mouth:

They’re still showing it at our local cinema, but only in the smallest screen now.

no. not yet. but, its down 2 the “little theater” and its only being shown twice a day

Okay, I know that previously, I stated that only one other theater in my town plays the movie. For a bit they played Wall-e at only 1:45 PM every day, but for some really strange reason, they bumped it back to 6 showings a day. Looks like the little guy’s holding up in the box office

Well, my country was one of the last places to premier WALL-E (24 August), so, naturally, it will take a while before the theaters decided to pull the plug on it. Up till now, I believe most, if not all of the theaters here are still showing it at a regular basis due to its blockbuster success, it might take a while before its lift-off from Singapore.

Oh no! :frowning: Finally after nearly 3 full months it’s gone. In the past week the number of peeps has been just a dribble, and only 2 showings per day. It had 5 showings the week before that, but the crowd was lackluster then too.

Still, I can drive only 10 miles to several multiplexes that have 5 showings :sunglasses: and there are another 5 or so screens up to an hour away.

25 times and going strong.

I believe that this is the last week for WALL-E in the Seattle area. It is down to one showing a day at a single cineplex in Renton. It has been a good run.

I noticed that WALL•E still has two screenings per day at the biggest multiplex in Estonia. And next week is a school break so I think many will still go and see it.

Here at Oahu they still have Walle showing…

Yeah, they’ve taken out the darn thing. It’s the latest to be shown, but it’s probably one of the earliest to be taken out, too.

Down to just one movie theater now: a Drive-In, the last one in Northern California. It was showing in about half the multiplexes 2 months after release, and then steadily started the slide. Finally went out in my hometown a month ago, still there were two other screens within 10 miles. One of those closed permanently, in Redwood City. It was a half mile from one of those huge crystal-clear ad screens, 15x25 feet or so.

A couple weeks ago, the Red Vic theater on Haight Street in SanFrancisco played it over the weekend, but it was a bit too far for me to go, was thinking about just taking a train.

So, if you are from the home area of Pixar , you must now drive down to San Jose and watch Wall-e on a drive-in screen, the picture of which is about 85% the quality of an indoor projection, and the sound quality of which is 70% of the norm, at best. It seems to be making money, it’s been there a month now. The Syufy family of San Rafael, former owners of the Century Cinema chain (now owned by Cinemark) owns this Drive-In and the daily flea market, which is also a big money maker. Still, some developer would like that spot but the Syufy’s have made earnest attempts over the years to inject quality films, even at off-site locales, into their many outlets. Hooray for them, especially since their multiplexes have put so many local 1-3 screen operations out of business.

Actually, WALL-E is also doing a second run at the Sacramento 6 Drive-in, which is still alive and well, for who knows how long. I presume you’re referring to the Capitol Drive-in?

Here in Sydney, most of the cinemas I know are all down to one showing a day and most will finish off this week. The robot adventure flick is on its last legs after a successful 2 month stay in Oz. Here’s a summary of their showtimes:

Greater Union, George St: $9 tickets till 4:40 pm tomorrow, then GMax 10:30 am till next Wednesday

Randwick Ritz: 10 am on weekends (though the last update was for the past weekend, and they won’t show whether there’s anymore this coming weekend till Wednesday, so it may already have ended its run)

Hoyts Entertainment Quarter and Eastgardens: 10:30 am till tomorrow

Reading Cinema, Market City: Run has ended.

Sydneysiders, take note; this is your last chance if you haven’t caught this epic film, or if you want to see it one last time. I’ll probably go for my second and final viewing (something which I’ve probably done 3 times in my life, because ticket prices are mad in Singapore and Sydney, and I believe that money could be better spent on discovering other movies or buying the DVD) tomorrow at the same cinema where I first witnessed it. It’s my token of appreciation to the filmmakers, and just to send the little robot on his off on his merry departure from Down Under.

Well, WALL•E has had a good run in Australia, but I looked on the website and it says it’s still in theatres. I looked at all of the theatres the site was linked to had no showings. I looked yesterday and found one somewhere in… Albury I think. :frowning: I don’t like it when films go out of cinemas. I think there should be like, these cinemas where you can book them to view a movie of your choice.

Whoa! :open_mouth: That’s really strange, Pewpewpew5522. WALL-E’s still in cinema (IN DECEMBER  :exclamation: ). It seems really weird to still have a movie in a theatre when the official movie DVD is already out for a while.

It’s in like… 1 cinema. 1.

And the DVD doesn’t come out in Australia until January 14th.
