I don’t usually pre-order, I get them as Christmas presents from my aunt. She’s one of those relatives that don’t know me very well so they have my parents buy me a present and they wrap it. And that present is always a Pixar DVD.
Well it was a foregone conclusion that I’d be buying it anyway, so I preordered it as soon as Amazon had it up on their page. And because I was early, I lucked out. At first they were charging $27.99 for the 3-disc normal DVD. So because of that, I got free shipping (any order over $25). Then they lowered their price to $22.99, and those of us who preordered got their price lowered – and kept the free shipping as well, since we had qualified for the free shipping initially.
NOTE: the poll choices need to be be corrected!
There’s actually no 2 disc normal DVD.
With normal (non-Bluray) you have your choice of 1-disc or 3-disc editions.
Not gonna pre-order. Gonna decide where to buy it based on the Sunday Ad special. I hate that each store has a different special but can’t help but be a sucker for it.
I was all set to curse the forces that be, suck it up, and buy a PS3 when the only good version came out Blu, then they go and make that 3 disc DVD, so really it comes down to whether I have a PS3 when it comes out or not…
If I had the space (and it were 10 years ago), I’d do the Disneystore deal.
However, I will be out there on Tues to get my copy-the 3-disc version. Though I may dive right into the making-of information first. I really want to see the segment where Ben Burtt discusses his soundwork.
I probably won’t pre-order since I don’t use Amazon. But I might considering doing a pre-order thing on eBay… or maybe I’ll just wait and see which US stores will be giving away specials along with the DVD, and then see which ones hit eBay. But it’ll be great to get the DVD at the same time as everyone here, bar the week for me to receive it in the post. I’ll order the 3-disc normal DVD.
Ordered for me by a family member off Amazon. If you see a tent by the mailboxes starting on the 18th of November, we’ve been neighbors all this time and never knew! XD jk jk, but I will be running to that mailbox every day with hope in my eyes.
I’m still debating whether or not I should preorder it, because I have very little money and don’t want to pay shipping costs. I’m hoping to pick it up at my school’s bookstore, just because I want to watch as they fly off the shelves. Hopefully I’ll run into some Wall-E fans. But then again, I don’t know how much it will cost at the bookstore. Or even if they will have it opening day…
