If I recall…
In the Castle in the Skies
DVD, John actually gives a short intro, giving a bit of how great the story is, and in some ways how he enjoyed
it himself.

This is good
news in my book. Miyazaki been one of my favorite directors for a long time. I was incredibly pleased to see
him get honored at the Oscars for Spirited Away. I prefer to watch them subbed, but some of them were dubbed
reasonably well.
Princess Mononoke, hands down. It’s still in my top ten movies
(even with the addition of Ratatouille). It was the first of his I ever saw and none before or since have
inspired me so much. Plus Ashitaka was a little hottie, all scruffy and ragey. <3
Hard to say which one…I think most would agree that all of them
were classics…
I agree with Haunt up there that Princess Mononoke was one of his bests, having a visually
appealing film with a Man V.S. Nature/Man V.S. Man theme.
Hmm…Also Baron: The Cat Returns…which has a
good premise…
JesusFreak - Haha – yeah, they’re all pretty strange, but in a cool way! ![]()

He does the same thing on the Spirited Away DVD,
as well. ![]()
Love these movies. I would like to tell myself that it’s not going to be his last, but there nothing you can do about that. and isn’t his son doing movies too? Tales From Earthsea? Out of all the movies, Howl’s Moving Castle is my favorite.
