Heath Ledger wins oscar !!!

Good news for fans of the late Heath Ledger and “The Dark Knight”. Our boy made Hollywood history at the 81st Academy Awards when he became only the second actor in movie history to win a posthumorous oscar after death.

After he won for his role as the Joker in Dark Knight, his family – mom,dad, and sister – accepted the award on his behalf. I had tears of joy rolling down my face the whole time.

Seeing how some Pixar fans here were also hoping he’d win, I just had to tell everyone the day after I watched the show. Did anybody else watch the show and see him win ?

Got to say that he deserved it, the Dark Knight would have been my favourite film of 2008 had I not seen Wall•e a couple of months later…

Still Ledger was fantastic in the film, he truly brought out the dark side of a villian who it is easy to portray as ‘silly.’

I was so happy when Heath Ledger won, I actually jumped up and screamed “Yes!”. I was worried that they wouldn’t give it to him, but they came through for me. He completely deserved it, so good jobs Oscars.

Thank GOD he received that award, because he deserved no less than that. Heck, he deserved to keep his life, and it’s just a crime shame that it was ended at such an early stage. To this day, I’ve never witnessed such a performance by one who had so much potential. I miss the guy terribly…

But, yes, congratulations to Mr. Ledger and to his entire family. Such a magnificent actor shouldn’t have passed the world by so soon…
