Hello, Dolly!

Somebody had to bring this movie up. You know that half the Pixar fans are gonna be trying to watch this now.

So, when people do watch it (or maybe they already have) discuss it here. ^^ I’ve got it on hold from the library and am waiting to get it personally.

I think I have seen it over 30 times already. Now the reason for that is because that was the muusical I did not too long ago in my senior musical. It is one of my favorite musicals in the the world and I had a lot of fun performing in it… I was surrounded by the school’s (and maybe world’s) best High School actors, singers, dancers, and techies. I played the role of Barnaby, the young energitic store hand who accompanies Cornelius.

Now as for the movie, it was a deight to see. The songs were great, and the performance was amazing. THe movie is different from the stage version, but still, both stayed true to the original story. The best dance numbers were “Put On YOur Sunday Clothes”, and the Waiter’s Gallop.

Anyone else have any comments about Hello Dolly, the movie that was featured in Pixar’s WALL-E?

First Movie-Musical I’ve ever seen, and my brother thought I was the world’s biggest geek [spoil]when I started singing along when “Put On Your Sunday Clothes” came on in Wall-E.[/spoil]

My favorite character[s] were Cornelius and Baranby.

I’m hoping my high school puts on Hello Dolly this year

Laser Envy: Hello Dolly is one of the most beautiful, most energictic, most enjoyable musical anyone can ever do.

And I love cornelious and barnaby as well. The two most adorable characters out of the entire story.

Hello Dolly
Well hello Dolly
It’s so good to-see you-back where-you…belong…

If it’s the same as a song in the movie, that is a bit I remember  Don’t know WHY I do though…have seen the film in like half a decade…

That number was the best, one of my favorite songs and dances in the entire movie Nexas.

“Put On Your Sunday Clothes”
(0:00-1:14)

“It Only Takes A Moment”
(4:18-5:14)

Oh I love these two songs! I found myself singing along with it PV. THanks for the links. It made my day so far.

Hahah, I did in fact watch this movie after watching Wall-E. The two snippets that we see in Wall-E really does make you want to watch it!

I liked the movie, strictly for the musical numbers. Storywise-- it’s not so great. But I wasn’t really expecting a great story. This movie is to watched strictly for the purpose of enjoying those classic musical, grand finale moments. :
