DVDS and Blueray became more populer and you don’t have to rewind. DVDs came out in 1996 and started to take over. You can aslo watch DVDS in compulters.
BetaMax and VHS were from the 60s or somewhere around that time. I guess people just grew tired of them.
VHS came out in 1976, accoting to Wikipedia.

My hobbies are drawing, going on the internet, swiming and running, video games, and lateyl driveing.
I enjoy playing my Xbox 360, Dog walking, Watching films (particularly Pixar), Dodgeball, Badminton, Swimming, Socialising, Going on the inernet, etc…
