Help Section (for anything)

I just had the idea to create a section in which people can ask help for stuff like school or work or anything else (let’s hope this works out, people, work with me).

Good idea, Any computor problems ask me.

Great idea for a topic!

I don’t have any problems as of now but if anyone needs any help I’m pretty nifty at biology.

I like this idea. It is not only helpful to the person needing answers, but it is a great way to connect with PP users.

Great idea for a topic Dan*E!

I don’t have any problems right now, but I’m pretty good with math problems up to Algebra 2. If there’s somebody who’s struggling.

If anyone is a calculus expert, you’re my new best friend!

I’m amazing at biology and spanish, and can offer help with history and math, but not calculus. Because taking the highest-level math class my school offers is exactly what someone who struggles with math, like me, needs. Yeah.

Does anyone know how to shade well with graphite pencils? I can do line well, but my art teacher at school is never interested in showing me to shade properly.

I’m not too bad at shading:

• I find it easiest to first determine where your light is coming from.
•Then pick a relatively flat part of your picture and lightly shade it all over, but only in one direction.
•Then pick the corner or point of your flat bit furthest from your light source (or the edge which will get least light) and shade that a little darker than before, ensuring you shade in the same direction as previously. Continue this about halfway across the flat bit.
•Then on the same edge shade a little darker than before.
•Do this three-tone shade for each bit of your picture. On rounded sections make your shading follow the curve of the shape.
•Now that your picture is slightly shaded all over you can start defining it: pick a dark edge/corner. Now shade it darker.
•Shade the rest of that bit to match. Repeat across your picture.
•Now shade even darker.
•Repeat until you are happy with it.

Hope this helps, if you want I can draw up some diagrams to show what I mean.
Some tips to bear in mind:

•Think about your picture in 3D, will some parts cast shadows on others?
•It is not necessary to shade every detail to perfection, sometimes implying a shape is there will work better than actually drawing it.

Thanks Halos, my art teacher always taught me to do dark first, I tried your way and it actually looks decent. Thanks

No problem, glad i could help somebody!
