Hello, my name is Donovan and im an inspired artist and animator. I started animating with a program called, “Macromedia Flash 8” when I was just 11. I didn’t always know that animating was my passion until about a year or so ago. Even though I was always interested in animating I never picked it up enough with flash programs to really get inspired. So years went on I got into programming with a forum called, “CodeCall” and I discovered my second passion for programming and music. By this point I have been all over the place with computers. I was at guru status of a big programming forum with over 100,000 members, I had spent most my time with coding and music to the point I was spending all my free time on it.
This was on going for about 3 years right before my brother had gone off to college to become a graphic designer, and computer engineer. Sadly, he never picked it up and was not able to make it through the courses. But, what he did get to keep were the programs from his college courses. I remember him showing me his programs when he use to sit down at his computer with them. Although he would do nothing but random clicking and messing around with the program it looked like alot more to me because it was so new and breath taking. This is where my adventure with graphic design had started. At the age of 14 and a half I started messing with the programs. Watching the tutorial videos, reading about internships with pixar, learning everything I could to give me a %150 chance of getting accepted. Even after all this work I am still a long way but I am not nearly as far away as I was when I first started.
By the age of 24 I hope to have my Bachelor’s Degree, and a Degree in Graphic Design or Animation. I also hope to have an internship with Pixar Studios while going through my college courses to aquire the experience of watching other artists in action. Thanks for reading my inspirations and dreams if you have gotten this far through the post I give you my respect for sitting through a long block of boring text but to me working with pixar would be one of the most exciting and coolest things ever!
