High School Musical

Anyone seen this? Apparently it’s one of the best Disney movies to be made in years, with some really

good songs.

And apparently…I hated it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok, I’m just kidding there. I actually seemed to like it, even though I

only saw the first half hour of it. The songs were decent enough that I became glued to the screen a little

longer I planned.

Still, I’ve never been one to favor those Disney Channel original movies. I’m just

not the teen for it. I prefer films like…like…like Pixar.

I think my major problem is that I’m a

tomboy; I hate all those “girly”, high school genre films.

I know, and they’ve been done so

many times, as well. They’re going mad about this film here, though- they’re advertising it every five minutes

on the radio, there’s posters everywhere, and they’ve made a singalong version now as well. I don’t really see

why there’s so much hype, since although it’s okay, it isn’t exactly groundbreaking.

I agree. My point exactly.

Y-y-ya mean

theres a GOOD disney original out there?! I keed, I keed. I don’t watch the disney channel, but I’ve heard of

it

Lol, well, ‘High School Musical’ being considered good

can be a topic of discussion, to say the least.

I’m a big fan of the

Disney Channel Orignal Movies, ever since I caught Under Wraps back in 1997 (I was officially hooked with Zenon

and Thirteenth Year in 1999).

I’ll admit that they’ve gotten slowly less “original” (ironic,

yes) over the years, but that doesn’t stop me from watching the newest on premeire night, a tradition I’ve held

with my little brother since I think Johnny Tsunami (July 24, 1999) I’ve been a fan long enough to remember

they used to premeire on SATURDAY instead of Friday.

As for High School

Musical, I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed it and that it was probably the most original DCOM

since Kim Possible: So the Drama. And before KP, I can’t really decide.

But

I’ll also admit that they are risking making the film hated because simply because it’s being overdone.

Yeah, the songs

weren’t bad- better than I expected, to say the least- but it’s a shame Disney Channel didn’t go in another

direction.

I’ve never seen

the movie, except the song “Soarin’”

I thought the movie was okay, but I think the girl who played Gabriella was cute.

rolls on floor laughing WOW!!

TSS thinks someone’s cute!! (playing)

Oh come on Riku, after all of this time

I have stuck with Dash, and the other admins, have not figured out that I am in love

with Violet and Helen Parr? :astonished:

Ok…Here!! TSS thinks A REAL person is

cute!! LOL (Take no offense to any of this TSS, me is justa playing!)

I’ve heard a song or two on it. Not exactly my kind of musical. It’s too much like the

trendy pop music they show on teh Family Channel(which is like teh Canadian version of teh Disney channel.) I

don’t really have any desire to see it. But we;ll see, maybe I’ll get hooked later. The future isn’t clear.

:stuck_out_tongue:

This movie is awsome why do people hate it? :unamused: Come 'on people don’t

be haters! This movie is awsome! :sunglasses:

hehe - ok - Got the soundtrack for my birthday and

absolutely LOVE it!

Now I really can’t wait to see the movie. =)

They released one of their songs recently,

and it did get into the charts…I think its highest position was about 15, which isn’t bad for a song from a

Disney film!
