I hope it’s alright that I’m starting a new thread. I think it’s appropriate seeing as it’s a new year.
(Here’s a link to my 2007 thread:

And here are two sketches of Woody and Marlin:

My scanner does them no justice, and they’d be much prettier in color. Ah well, hope you like them!
(They’re not very original seeing as I used references:

but I’m trying to get down their basic design before I jump into trying any original stuff. They’re hard to draw!)
Hey Hog-Hug. Woody and Marlin look really cool. Keep it up.
They both look really good! But Marlin looks amazing! I could never get Buzz to look right the time I tried to do a line drawing of him. That’s why I end up shading everything

Hog-Hug - Not bad, Hog-Hug ! You’ve got a nice handle on the art of “simplifying” complicated characters by way of successfully transforming their 3D “skin” to a 2D format. Marlin, especially, looks most convincing.
Good job!

That line-art’s really nice and accurate, Hog-Hug ! I have to agree, I think these would look great in colour.

I love Marlin ! Also lie the way you shaded him to put him in sorta 3D on a 2D format! Hope you’re gonna post more soon…
