Well I just got back from another wreck, but this time I was not involved,
Two of my friends got in a wreck today about 2 hours ago, there both okay. Please pray for them.
Oh, I will JV! I hope your friends are okay! My thoughts and prayers to them and you.
Wow, JV. That stinks. I definitely will pray…
I get hurt a ton, but I never really end up in the hospital.
I’ve gone had surgery three or four times for my ears though. I’ve had tubes. They hurt =[
Hmm I guess I can share some of my injuries. XD They’re all pretty much horse-related haha.
I was at a horse show, and I was riding this one horse named Rosie. She was the sweetest thing ever, but incredibly lazy. We were heading for the second jump in our course when she kind of half-jumped it, stumbled, fell, knocked the jump over all at once. I fell off and got pelted in the side with a few poles (those things are suuuper heavy) and I landed on my wrist. I look up to see Rosie’s hooves right above my head. I thought she was going to trample me. Luckily, I got out of the way. I walked away with a sprained wrist and bruised ribs. Man it hurt. I was only like ten haha.
Last Monday I fell off my horse Clue. I wasn’t in the saddle for more that two seconds when he spooked. He reared then bucked me off. Crazy brute. I landed on my back and my right arm. I got a mild concussion. >< My mum thought I broke my arm. I only have a huge gouge (with a bruise around it) on it. Hurts when I poke it haha. My back hurt so much. I thought I broke it. Agh that would have been awful.
And on Friday Clue decided to throw me off again. He spooked at nothing (as usual…) and threw me. I landed on my chest this time.
So now my chest is all bruised and I somehow pulled almost every muscle in my upper body. I couldn’t move on Saturday haha. I’m still recovering.
I’ve had my fair share of falls off horses haha. None were bad enough for me to go to the hospital though. =/ I guess I’m pretty tough haha.
Oh man Tay, now I am going to be very teriffied when ever I go on a horse. ![]()
Tay - Yeah, I believe it. You’d have to be tough to handle one of those lovely giants. I’ve always wanted to ride a horse, even though the fact that I might get thrown off kinda scares me a bit. I’m glad you didn’t break anything those times you got bucked off!

TSS–Hahaha. Don’t worry, they’d never put you on the crazy ones. Just me. XD
Mitch–Hahaha thanks. I’ve learned over the years to tough it up. I’m really crazy when I ride. The bigger the horse, the better. The higher the jump, the more fun it is. I get put onto a lot of green (young horses that don’t have full training) horses because I seem to have a death wish haha.
the only kind of “horse-related” injury I got was falling off a static horse. I was like 5 at the time, and I wen’t like PLOP!
TSS- Lol… >Plop!< ![]()
I’ve never been to the hospital for an injury… I mean. I guess I was born there… and I’ve visited and gone with people… but I’ve never hurt anything enough to go to the hospital.
Plop? XD Nice haha.
My “emergency dismounts” are usually more graceful. XD I’ve landed on my feet like twice. All other times I manage to land on my chest or back. Whoo. Surgery here I come!
Surgery after falling off a horse? Wow! The only I escaped with was just a small scrape!
A friend of mine still has a lovely scar all down her elbow and arm from when she fell off a horse at one of those places where you can go riding for a day. The instructor told her it was just a bruise and it would heal, but she was convinced her arm was broken. She went to the hospital at the end of the day and yep, her elbow had been shattered. Nasty.
I didn’t go to the hospital or anything, but right now I have this ugly burn between my middle and ring finger. I was working at this farm at a waxing station (long story) and I forgot to put my gloves on - some hot wax dripped on to my hand. Ow! ![]()
Oh, my that must have burned! I hope it gets better. ![]()
Hot Wax? Holy cow! That must’ve hurt! I would be crying after that.
Well, I got burned with a hot glue gun in fourth grade, so I know what he’s talking about… got a giant blister on my finger too…
When I was in fourth grade, my brother got burned with the glue gun. From that moment on, I promised that I would never touch that stuff again.
He suffered a little burn, but luckily, my mom is a nurse. She treated him just like that.
TSS - Really? Wow, what are the odds? The blister I had took about three months to go away.
Those glue guns are seriously dangerous! They seem innocent enough at first, but leave one on the side for a second and all that hot glue leaks out…Nasty!
Bill - Yowch. I guess it would be a great weapon for thwarting/attacking an intruder then, huh? You just whip out the glue gun and spray it in the dude’s face…! ![]()
Edit: I don’t think I ever mentioned the story below. If I didn’t, I can’t believe I didn’t post it before-hand…
I was riding on my tricycle one day…when I fell off the dang thing and onto a very intimidating-looking rock. Of course, the rock had to have been positioned with the sharp end up, and so I fell onto and into the pointy object. Not only did it hurt like the dickons, but the rock pierced my knee to the point that you could see the bone. T’was pretty cool… ![]()
