How are you saving for "Ratatouille"?

With the first books coming out in pretty soon (and

collectibles soon after) it’s time to bring down that Piggy Bank and start saving!

The question then

becomes: How are you saving for Pixar’s next film? I get a small allowence and scrub some money off my

Grandparents currently. This only amounts to about 50$ on June 29th, so I think I need to find a job, quick!

My Target: 200$! :sunglasses:

Haha – I should have expected a discussionary topic like

this.

Well, here is my current plan:

1) Save

around $200+ for the Star Wars: Celebration IV Convention in

May

2) Use the money I have left over to purchase particular

Ratatouille items (toys, books, t-shirts,

etc.)

3) Spend the remaining dough on

Ratatouille theater tickets (including those for the premiere of the film at the

El Capitan theater in Hollywood)

Right now I have about the amount I want. I

plant to buy a Yoda lightsaber at the Star Wars convention this year, and I know

that that will take at least $120 dollars out of my pay check. After that, I’ll just try and save up to $400

bucks or more that I will use solely for Ratatouille-related merchandise.

Not that I’ll need that much money to purchase a few “ratty” items, but I’m a geek

here…sooo…

Mitch - Your post was great, (and it’s my fault I didn’t make this clear) but

more of a how your making this money, as opposed to how your going to spend it (if you should wish to disclose).

Gasduude - Ohh…I see what you mean! Heheh – my mistake.

Well in that

case, I work at a local farmer’s market in which I get paid $30-40 a week. Not bad, considering I’m not a big

money spender at all. And also, my mom owes me big: $800+ dollars (long story). But I’m not complaining. I’m

just letting her take her time in paying me back. No problem with me.

Mitch - (Hee) No problem!

30 to 40

dollars!? A week!? Wow, that’s a fortune to me…I need to get off my rear end and get a job!

I wish I could make money like that. Maybe selling my drawings. I

have some really terrific stuff.

I’m just

gonna work for it- I’ve worked at a chain of shoe shops called Clarks since my 16th birthday last November, and

the wages are pretty good; around ?150 ($300-ish) a month, but since I don’t really plan on buying much

merchandise apart from a soft toy or two, and obviously seeing the film itself, I don’t think I’ll need to save

up too much.

To tell you the truth, I am not saving for anything. I am

just waiting for the movie to come out, then my family and I just go and watch it.

Meet

The Robinsons made a huge dent in my wallet. I easily spent over $150 on merchandise the day I

saw the movie, and I’ve purchased 4 more books since then.

Ratatouille is

approximately 2? months away, so saving up for it won’t be a problem.

~~=oP

I’m still saving for Cars die-casts and a Doc plushie !

Well , my parents usually buy the tickets

, and since I only see any movie in theater once or twice , it won’t put that big of a dent in my wallet .

Beside , I’m not exited as much about ratatouille as I was about Finding Nemo or cars , so I probably won’t get

anything .

But if I am , I’m saving up my allowance , which is only $5 bucks a week , but the only thing

I’ve needed to buy that I wanted over the past year is a book that was $3 and my $400 laptop . My parents always

buy me what I want on my birthday or on Chrismas or hannakuh . I’m so spoiled ! ;-p

I

don’t think I will save for any merchandise. Maybe a little plush remy for when I graduate this year of school

for my english teacher, but nothing much.

All I want is a Linguini, and Remy plush toy but I

haven’t seen all of the toys yet, but I might buy a couple more of cute things as well. I also want a little

Remy and Linguini figurine to put on the top of my computer, next to my Woody figurine. Maybe I’ll also get a

little Remy plush toy for my car.

As of right now I am just planning to spend

$7.50 to see the movie at the theatre

I just got another 10 dollars. I’m going to put it in my savings to see the movie!!!

I still have

contest money left over, and I was wondering how to spend it though I wanted to save it … I just spent most of

it on Pixar merchandise, so I’ll bet I’ll use the rest on seeing the film and buying toys. ^^
