As we all probably know, Toy Story has a 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I was thinking though: could anyone in the world hate this film? What could it possibly be critized for? Share your thoughts.
Some people might find the plot too simplistic, the whole thing too “kiddish” since it’s animated and about toys, or (in recent years) think the animation is dated.
I think all of the things above are false. This film is timeless and just because a film has a simple plot or is animated doesn’t mean it’s bad.
Some people might not enjoy the humour or think the whole idea of Toy Story is ‘unbelievable’ and silly. It isn’t, but you never know- it might just not be to someone’s taste. Even though it’s an amazing film. 
My mom doesnt seem to care for the first one much. I remember when we saw it the first time she said “I think they spent too much time in Sid’s house”. At the time I didnt care that much for it either. Oh I liked it, but I didnt want a copy of my own or anything. Now I disagree. I think Toy Story is great and I love it now more than before.
My mom still cant seem to get into it. I remember I was about to put in a DVD a few months ago, my mom came in all interested and was like “Ooo! What are you gonna watch?” I went “Toy Story!” and she goes “ohh…” And whenever I bring it up she STILL says “I think they spent too much time in Sid’s house” I’m not sure what she wanted to see, but I guess that wasnt it. (on the flipside, she does like Toy Story 2 quite a bit. Go figure.)
