How Do You Start The Morning?

Hello Pixarteers! [b:128y6pje]gleefan1[/b:128y6pje] here! :D
Although, every morning, I wake up, and have breakfast, I always wonder, how do people start their day in the morning?
For example: I wake up from my mum yelling out breakfast is on the table, sleep in 10 minutes, then, yanks the sheets and forced to wake up, clear my eyes, and go and have the 1 Pop-Tart, and a bowl of Nutri-Grain, and get ready for school.
On wekkends, I sleep in
So how does everyone start the day?
Also, next week, I’m going on my year level camp! :D
Up in the mountans :D
Peace! [b:128y6pje]gleefan1[/b:128y6pje] :-\

Nice topic, gleefan1!

School mornings: Either my dad or stepmum flings open my bedroom door (loudly) and open the curtains. Their footsteps are loud, like a herd of elephants. I don’t have a lie-in, I don’t have time to.
Then I go get breakfast, then get dressed before walking to school at 08:10.

Weekend: Get up between 9-10 (parents stomp in my room, interrupting me from listening to the radio on my phone, or on PP)
Then have beakfast, play with baby sis, then (if I can be bothered) get dressed.

School Holidays: The same as weekends really, just that my stepmum gets us up at like 8 :open_mouth: Annoying, I know.

My mornings are not very interesting, but hey :unamused:

I do the same thing every morning, weekend or weekday.
I usually start by getting up at 7, then I get dressed and go on the computer and do stuff. Then my mom comes to do stuff on the other computer, and then I tell her to turn off the tv, and she refuses, says she’s listening. Then she starts breakfast, and becomes distracted by the tv and almost burns something. :stuck_out_tongue: And then I eat and then after a while get started on school.

School days:
My mom wakes me up asomewhere around 4.45am but I fall into sleep until my alarm clock rings at 5.55am. Then I just lay there for ten minutes before going to the kitchen and eating my breakfast (which is usually a toast with turkey and a toast with Nutella). Afterwards I pack my lunchbox and my drink in my school bag and get dressed. In the end I check if I have everything I need for the day and at 6.45am I go to the bus stop.

Weekends/Holidays:
Most of the times it’s already midday when I’m awake but if I wake up earlier than at I start the day by eating breakfast (usually cereals) and then it’s mostly random what I do next. Though most of the times it’s drawing, playing a video game, reading or watching a movie.

Wow, that’s early, Witch_of_Night! No wonder you wake up later in the day at weekends.

For me at the moment if I’m working I tend to get up around two hours before my shift starts, and if I’m not working I’ll be up around nine-ish. I’ve got this little glowing alarm clock that lights up very brightly, so that’s what gets me started usually.

Breakfast is some juice and a bowl of cereal, and sometimes some toast with marmalade. In the winter it’s porridge.

I actually love the fact that Americans sometimes have pop tarts for breakfast. I tried a pop tart for the first time a few weeks ago, and I don’t think I’ve ever tasted something more sweet! I can imagine that certainly gets your energy levels up!

Just like Shawn Spencer from Psych- “Well I got up watched a little Phineas And Ferb then i got a snack…” LOL J/K

Yep, my parents even stopped to bother to check if I’m awake or not. But my mom has an even earlier start. On work days she wakes up some time around 3-ish while my father wakes up the same time she wakes me up. Well, maybe it would be different if my school and my parents’ working place would not be in the next town.

lol, I had a pop tart for breakfast this morning

On schooldays, I usually get up at 6AM (unless I’m at my Dad’s house, where I get up at 5:45 AM) I usually brush my teeth, take a shower, do my hair, get dressed, grab my backpack, then I eat breakfast (which usually changes daily, I like to have variety in my breakfast choices). Then it’s out the door sometime between 7 and 7:10 (which will probably be different next year since I can drive myself to school and I’ll probably have my first period be a free period).

On weekends/summer/ holidays it’s usually wake up sometime between 8 and 10:30, eat breakfast, Computer/ TV/ Practice Bass guitar/ try to make plan with a friend. I usually get ready in the same order as a school day but around 11 or 12 (sometimes as late as 2:30 in the afternoon)

So yeah, that’s mah boring schedule :-\

Thanks for saying that, now my American self is craving Pop Tarts! What flavor did you have? I actually like Toaster Strudel better!

Mornings? What mornings? I sleep past the mornings on summers and weekends!

I use to have to wake up at 7 for school, but now my college courses start at noon. So more sleeping in!

I never have breakfast, it I do it’s a fruit or granola bar. And it takes forever to get out of my warm bed and put my day clothes on! I do the brushing of the teeth and the straightening/combing of the hair. Put jewlery on. I take my showers at night time, since I work with livestock in the afternoon.

Oh, my… Pop Tarts sound SO good right now!

Normally we have Cheerios or Malt-o-Meal or something like that for breakfast, but today we had to have oatmeal. I don’t usually complain about my food, but appetite for eating oatmeal (not the packaged kind, keep in mind) has sort of exhausted.

  1. I wake up whenever
  2. I eat cereal
  3. I watch my brother while my mom takes a shower
  4. I make my bed
  5. I get dressed
  6. I brush my hair
  7. I brush my teeth
  8. I read my Bible
  9. I start school, or on weekends/summer vacation, I get on the internet.

ellie-jessie-eve, to tell you something, there’s a shop where they import chocolate and candy from America, and pop-tarts are like $7.95 for a box of 8, I have smores, cookies and cream or cherry.

Hmm… usually on the hour (typically 5 or 6 in the morn, depending one where I have to be that morning) my mom turns on my light and turns my fan down one notch and tells me to wake up. It registers about 15 minutes in, and 10 minutes later, she comes in and tells me to get up, forrealz. And then I usually rush to get dressed and brushed and such.

I have perfected the art of being ready in 7 minutes

Coffee is a must. If you want me to understand you in the morning, coffee is essential.

Refer to the following comic

Besides that, I have a hearty breakfast, then a quick shower, then off to school it is.

Weekends are different though… Sleeping in is expected.

Ooo, sounds like a good variety! I remember returning from my tour of England, Ireland, and Wales 2 years ago. There were some foods that I wish they imported here, but I forgot what they were called!

I do remember a bunch of kids in my group drank Lucozade every day for 3 weeks when we were in Europe, and very much wished they could buy it here in America!

Phileas: I like the comic! I’m not much into coffee, but mornings start off better for me if I have Green Tea.

I am definitely NOT a morning person. I hate waking up tired in the morning, it’s probably the worst feeling in the world! That’s why I try to everything (shower, getting clothes ready, etc.) done in the evening so I can sleep a little longer!

School mornings: Basically it’s just get up, put on clothes, brush teeth, grab ‘breakfast’ (usually a granola bar) and then out the door! I eat breafast on the bus to school. School starts at 7:20, the bus comes at 7:00, and I get up at like 6:50. :stuck_out_tongue:

I love the weekends, because then I get to sleep in! Some of the time, I sleep in until noon and just skip breakfast, but sadly I am able to do that less and less because I’ve got all these committments and stuff now.

As you can see, my breakfast habits aren’t t exactly the healthiest!

I’m like Phileas, I start the day with a big mug of coffee, then breakfast.
I love poptarts but you can normally only find chocolate and strawberry flavours in uk supermarkets. When I holiday to america I tend to by loads of different flavours to try whilst I am out there.

University life is the best! Most classes start at nine, so I get to sleep in even on weekdays. How early I wake up is dependent on the timetable for semesters. If I have afternoon classes or if it’s a weekend, I’d wake up around ten and fix myself some oatmeal or Nutella sandwich. Then I surf the web, hang out here, and maybe indulge in some fanwork to kill time to lunch. If I oversleep, I skip straight to lunch. Like Ding, I always bathe before sleeping, so unless I’m going to school or town, I don’t shower after breakfast, since I’d stay in or buy takeaway (But I brush my teeth!).

Of course, if I have morning classes, then I have breakfast, shower, and then it’s off to class with half an hour travelling time to my off-campus faculty. Now that my Masters course is on the main campus, I can afford to leave fifteen minutes before class!

ellie-jessie-eve- It was chocolate flavoured. Very tasty! And toaster strudel sounds amazing, too. drools And yes, Lucozade is the best! It’s not something that I’d drink on a daily basis, though- it’s more of a drink for trying to recover from colds or the flu. Though of course when it’s a novelty, it’s difficult not to drink more of it.

That sounds like the good life, thedriveintheatre. I cannot wait for September and the beginning of term to start- university days seem to be so lazy in comparison to actual work! Plus I’ll even be able to see the building where most of my lectures will be from my bedroom window, so I’ll be able to roll right out of bed and into the classroom.

And I’m with you and Ding about having a bath before bed. A bubble bath, more specifically. With candles. And a bath bomb.

I wish I could say that I tried Lucozade, but I never did! It looked just like Gatoraide, I wish I had though! Mostly because it’s name is excellent. If I ever find myself in the U.K. again, I will defintely try some!
