like really, are there 2 holes on the bottom of his shell or are there 2 slots, like a regular mr potato head?
Two holes. I’m pretty sure they showed it in the movie, however, the 3D Mr. Potato Head program from Kellogg’s also showed it like that.
I believe his body has two holes, but they usually ignore that in the films and just slide his legs all over the place to wherever they need to go. I don’t recall the movie ever showing slots.
One thing I’ve always found interesting is his eyebrows, they move out of place from the actual eyes, and you can even see them seperately on the floor with his pieces when he says “Ages 5 and up, it’s on my box”, even though there’s no extra slots
The One-Eyed Bart scene shows they’re connected to the eyes somehow. But I never really understood that either.
That’s a great design, allows for lots of eye expressions. In the movie, you see them kind of floating though, but still
That is a good plan for a real-life system. In the movie, the eyes might have a slot on the top, and the eyebrows have a notch sticking out to connect it.
That’s just about all I can gather, because the film doesn’t show it connected by anything. Either that, or they’re just layed on there (which would probably be way too delicate).
I have no idea how Mrs. Potato Head’s eyebrows work. I guess they’re meant to stay on the body.
