How many times will you see Wall-E?

Here’s a question. How many times do you think you

will see Wall-E in the theaters? I know it’s a little early, but it seems like a

good topic.

I’ll see it probably 3-4 times.

I usually only watch

movies in theatres once, but perhaps WALL-E would turn out to be an exception

However, one thing is certain: If it’s good (and odds are, it will be), then I’ll watch it on DVD as

many times as I can.

Uhh … once. It’s nice in

theatres but I prefer to spend theatre time watching other films I haven’t seen. Multiple viewings comes with

film purchase.

A little early for this, like you said, but

I’ll take a shot…

My guess is that I will more than likely see WALL-E

14-15 times in theaters, depending on how good it looks/is. Normally, when it comes to Pixar films, I try to beat

my last record. For example, I saw Finding Nemo 13 times in cinemas, but I plan to

view Ratatouille more than that, and the same will probably apply to

WALL-E.

I’ll just have to wait and see.

In theaters, once or twice. But I wouldn’t do it more

than 3 times.

I’ll say. Let’s wait

until Ratatouille’s turn in the spotlight is over, and

then we’ll talk. :stuck_out_tongue:

But seriously, are we going to ask this question every

time Pixar announces a new movie? It’s an innocent question, but silly in my opinion, especially since we

hardly know anything about WALL?E. How can we pass judgment on a film that the

company has yet to even produce a trailer for?

In regards to the question though, I’m a die-hard Pixar

fan, so I’ll try to see every Pixar movie as many times as possible in theaters,

but only as many times as I can afford. I’m not going to estimate.

~~=oP

I

don’t think how many times you see a film actually matters, so I’m not even going to guess.

I don’t see why a lot of people show off that they’ve

seen a film a lot of times in a theatre. I think it’s a waste. I like to test my patience to wait until DVD, and

the wait for me is worth it. Gives me something to look forward to. Besides, I wouldn’t want to lose my interest

in it so early. Not that watching something a lot makes me sick of it- I just can never watch it all the way

through since it plays in my brain.

Yes, it’s a little early, but I think it’s safe to say I’ll see Wall-E in theaters as many

times as I can (money being the issue). So Mitch, how exactly do you see Nemo 13

times? I mean at 8 bucks a pop, movie tickets don’t come cheap! So you spent $104!

Without popcorn or any other goodies.

…Maybe I’m reading to much into

what you said…

oh man, i

dont know. Usually I only see a movie once or twice. It’s a rare movie that causes me to go see it over &

over. It takes a lot for me to even go see the movie in the first place. But I guess i’d probably see it 2-3

times at most. I’d have a better idea once i know more about it.

Heheh. She may have watched it multiple times in a

dollar theater. That’s how Dash was able to afford watching The

Incredibles 26 times in theaters. :open_mouth: True

story.

~~=oP

PixarVixen - 26?! Great balls of

cheese. :open_mouth:

Heheh, to tell you the truth (and I sent you a PM on this,

Gasduude, as you know) I paid the regular ticket price: $15-17 (for two people: my

sister and I). That’s around $100 bucks or more I paid to see Finding Nemo thirteen

times in the cinema, which is why I am now almost officially broke. You can’t get any more devoted than that!

Well, actually, you can, but I’m not goin’ there. :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t think my parents are going to pay that much

money for me just to see it more than once (even if you do exclude the drinks and concessions). Watching it twice

will be a challege for me too. So for now, once is the only promising number now.

PixarVixen- I’m sorry, (The World is too complicated! ) what are Dollar

Theaters?

TSS- Yep, pretty much the same here! I usually buy the DVD the

second it comes out, and watch it as many times as I can that day.

Oh, and

speaking of the Wall-E DVD, JV (on his blog: JV Pixar

News) says at the top it will come out December 4, 2008. Is this just speculation?

Not PV

 • obviously - but I can answer that one. At dollar theatres, movies usually don’t get there until they’re a few

months old, mostly when full-price theatres are done showing them (with Narnia and Pirates of the Caribbean 2,

not until after they’d come out on DVD). Because you’re not seeing the movie during its first run, the theatre

can afford to charge around a dollar to see a movie.

It’s a great option for students (especially of the

“poor college” variety). There’s a dollar theater just off campus at my school, and I could probably

put it as either the second or third most popular hangout for students here (my money is on Wal-Mart being

#1).

Ahh… Thank you

KyrieEleison! They sound like cool places! I’ll check 'em out!

it’s never to early, and I know why people how some say “waste” their time watching a movie in the theater again- I do it because I dont have a big screntv teater system in my home, nor could I afford one, So going to the movies to see Pixar on the big screen just feels way better than sitting at home watching on a little tiny screen. At least in the theater I can notice the realism of everything alot better- you know? At any rate, I’ll be sure to see Wall-e at least 2-3 times.

holy cow 8 bucks a movie??? it’s only 5 bucks here! not only that 2 weeks after the movies been out it goes down to a better theater and they only sharge you 2 dllars to get in. and the biggest soda they have is 1.50

It’ll cost me 11 bucks a movie, so 22 dollars just to see a movie twice that I’ll buy for the same price on DVD. Not worth it. I’ll watch it the bazillion times on DVD.

WOW that is alot of money!!! I’ll see it 3 or 4 times.

It’s a lot, but I usually buy the discount tickets that lowers it to 7 I think …

That, and I sneak food/drinks in. I make it obvious. No one cares. Of course, this’ll be a problem if they start checking bags soon, 'cause of a bomb threat or something … but I always sneak stuff in. The food line’s always too long anyways. =P

Best is when I pop popcorn at home and sneak it in. xD It’s not allowed, but it’s so obvious and I’ve never been stopped before, luckily.
