How old are the characters?

PV - Exactly. His age can be seen in the way he acts in comparison to Remy.

I’ve got two younger siblings so I know the drill – they look up to you and follow you everywhere; they also do things that you don’t want them to do, even though they know it’s wrong…

[spoil]Take, for example, the moment in the film where Emile brings his “buddies” to Gusteau’s! restaurant for a bite to eat, even after Remy warned him not to.[/spoil]

The last two factors can get kind of annoying after a while. :unamused:

imayweepopenly: Welcome to pixar Planet!

As for rat ages, I would have to agree with Mitch and her predictions. I have never really considered their ages until now. I will say that Mitch has the best guess.

Well younger brothers don’t always look up to older brothers.

Hey everyone, how old is Linguini? I caught in viewing the film today something about Linguini being in college or fresh out of college, I forget the line, I think Colette says it?

Also, how old do you have to be to drink in France? Linguini is obviously old enough to drink and serve wine. I don’t know about France, but I know here in America you have to be at least 21 to drink or serve alcohol.

Actually in the US you only have to be 18 to serve it - but I’m pretty sure it’s younger (like 16) in France for both.

Yes, Dash is right- legally, in France, you have to be 16 for both, but as far as I’m aware, not much attention is paid to this age limit.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Wow I am?! I fgured I was in the vicinity but I never thought I’d get it spot on.

I should so be on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire.” =D

Dash- Well, as far as I’m aware- a friend of mine goes to France a lot, and that’s what she said, but it might be worth checking up on Wiki or something to double check.

What I don’t get is, they say Remy’s older than Emile in the Disney magazine, yet the toy of Emile refers to him as ‘little brother’. I know, because that silly ultra-sensitive toy has said “He-hey, little brother!” about a bazillion times. @_@

FONY - Emile only calls Remy “little” because of his apparent size and “skinniness”.

Pixar has finally found a way to confuse their audience… :stuck_out_tongue:

Well I suppose Remy halfly takes it as a brother thing.

Remy seems more mature, despite the fact that he is one of the smallest rats in the family.

Actually Remy’s size may be due to the fact he doesn’t gorge on garbage like most of his family. Probably why he’s more fit and fast and takes allot of what the film dishes out.

Hey, that is a good theory. All goes to show be careful what you eat. It will come back to haunt you.

Though thanks to the ending, seems his whole family will be getting better heh.
Well aside from his…well…no…she may be in good health…

Skinner:approx:36 or 37

Anton: 57-64

Colette: 23-25

Remy: 18-21

Emile: 16 or 17

Linguini: 18- 21 I think more towards 21

Interesting guesses.

Verney: I would like to think that Eile is older.

Well given

that Remy is older than Emile…it wouldn’t be so surprising that they are merely a year or so apart…given

that they were part of about a 200-bunch family.
