Has anyone ever known what there ages are? Not there toy age, what they would be by there human counterparts. I always thought they were in there mid 30s, mabey late 20s. They would have to be young to do there stunts like Woody being able to tie people up with rope and Buzz doing flips.
Well, a toy’s age depends on the modeled character’s age, as well as the actual toy’s age. Buzz appears to be in his late 20’s, early 30’s due him concerned over being in peak, physical condition (it’s basically a requirement for astronauts anyways). And his acrobatic stunts speak for themself.
Woody looks to be in his mid 30’s to early 40’s, but that’s just a generalization based on popular cowboys and such. Other than that, his abilities don’t reveal much.
Hmmm…I guess that Woody would be 32, while Buzz is 26.
I imagine Woody and Buzz’s modeled ages to both be in their late twenties, though Buzz’s greater degree of recklessness might give him to be younger while Woody’s leadership leads one to believe he’s older, even in his early thirties.
A lot of how we judge their ages, I think, has a lot to do with their toy ages. As I figure, Woody is approaching his sixties while Buzz is only about fifteen in TS3. Not that Woody acts like an old gent, but this huge gap in years extant are probably going to affect our judgement of their ages, their experience and maturity. Even just who they are as personalities from their respective time periods (cowboy: a dignified, provincial antiquity versus space ranger: a recent and/or futuristic near-superpower) affect our opinion of who should be older and younger.

I agree with you there, hydrogen_helium. Their actual age and experiences would probably affect their percieved age, so Woody actually being a lot older than Buzz would certainly add wisdom to his personality.
I also agree with the general consensus here, that Woody’s modeled age is late twenties, early thirties, with Buzz a bit younger, perhaps in his mid twenties.
Well, Rex and Trixie are a few million years old then.

I can tell that Mr Potato Head and Hamm are in their late thirties.
Yeah, I’ve kinda been thinking them to be around that age.
