How should Toy Story 3 end?

Kind of a spin off to the “how should TS3 start” thread.

Basically what you want to happen to round of the Toy Story trilogy.

Myself; as long as Woody and Buzz (Especially Woody) end up with Andy in some way or another or with his kids in the future or something, thats fine with me.

So get your ideas posted, it should be an interesting discussion.

Robbo.

hmm…I think there was another thread like this, although I don’t feel like looking for it right now :stuck_out_tongue:.

Anywho, I just want it to end with a happy ending, and all the toys together. I think it would be awesome with they end up with Andy, but not necessary for me.

Final scene :
We see an adult Andy with his family at Christmas, with the toys on the shelf in the background. Andy is having a great time, but for one second he turns to look at Woody who gives him a wink, and Andy returns the wink. He then smiles to himself knowing Woody and company will be there to entertain his children’s and his children’s children etc, for many generations to come.

Something along those lines I bet.

Good idea there, but I’m not so sure about Andy winking at Woody.

I have no doubt that’ll happen in some way. There’s no way they’re staying in that chaotic daycare place for the whole film.

Hundreds of years have past. Andy, his mum, his children and any other humans Woody, Buzz and the rest of the gang have ever known are all dead, leaving them behind in a world where there are no humans. They’ve all left the Earth as the atmosphere has made it impossible for plants to grow. Woody, Buzz and the others are to be found in an old toy chest, buried deep amongst the piles of rubbish and waste the humans have left behind.

Then, suddenly, after suffocating in the darkness for so long, they hear the whirring sounds of a robot and see light! Two large eyes, shaped like a pair of binoculars, stare down at them…

Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Holy crap, that would be such an awesome ending, lizardgirl! Ahaha…!

Maybe we can use this thread to pump out fake spoilers closer to the release date, so we won’t know which are the real ones! I’ve seen this done on the POTC At World’s End board on IMDB back on '07…

Anyway, I can’t think of a good ending for nuts, so maybe they could have escaped the daycare, but a huge fireball from outer-space hits Earth and wipes out the whole of humanity and everybody dies in spectacular fashion.

(Minor Spoiler for Up) [spoil]Except the squirrel. It’s funny cos’ the squirrel lives![/spoil]

uhh dude… THERE WAS NO SQUIRREL IN UP! IT WAS A RANDOM PHRASE THE TALKING DOGS KEPT SAYING! Seriously, man, what version of UP did YOU see?

Unless, you mean ICE AGE? That’s not Pixar, it’s Blue Sky. Wrong studio!

Uhh… yes. I was referencing that phrase. In particular [spoil]Dug’s lame ‘joke’.[/spoil] Some people might not want his ‘punch-line’ spoiled.

You might want to take it easy and turn off the Caps Lock while you’re at it.

Haha, chill dude, we all know our Pixar here, BELIEVE me, we’re a dedicated and hardcore fanbase here. We know IA is Blue Sky, and that [spoil]there wasn’t an actual squirrel in Up unless you count the one Dug is chasing in the 2nd credits photo, hehe[/spoil]

That actually kinda sounded like a film Directed by Stephen Spielberg, called Artificial Intelligence.

Anyways, how could the film end… I really don’t know.
As far as plot points, like [spoil]Andy leaving for college, toys being thrown into a daycare center, and then them trying to escape[/spoil]… I just don’t think that’s really enough to give away the whole story. It just sounds as vague as it gets. All that was revealed about the film could be just the first 20 minutes of the film for all we know. I’m sure the film will have a lot more to it that we don’t know of yet, and it will just be hard to think of where it could go from what was said so far.

I was thinking about this yesterday, and the crazy thought of the toys showing Andy they’ve alive popped into my head, if TS3 is meant to be the final Toy Story.

I like Rhys135’s idea quite a bit more though. Subtle, but major enough, if that makes sense.

Aah, don’t get me started on Artificial Intelligence, Disney_Guy. Love that film too much for words.

And I agree with you, I don’t think what’s in the trailer is the entire storyline of the movie. There has to be more for it to be substancial enough.

That’s an interesting idea, Mykonos_Fan…Though it might disturb Andy quite a bit. Depends on how he would take it, I guess.

Lemme elaborate a little bit of My_konos_Fan’s idea.

Andy finally knows that the toy is alive. He throws them away by doing a garage sale or burned it with fireworks! :smiling_imp: MWAHAHAHA.

I’m not sure whether I’d like a happy ending, with Andy keeping his toys, or with the toys finding a new home…still thinking that one over.

If I had to guess I would say that maybe the toys find a new owner(s) who will take care of them as much as Andy did. Or maybe they will somehow find Andy who might wonder how on earth they ended up at his current place of residence… then he decides to keep them for his own children someday. Knowing Pixar we can predict the ending all we want, but how they get to that ending is a complete mystery, even then there might also be a twist in the ending.

I’ll be happy as long as the toys don’t get separated from one another. I’ll be heartbroken if they do.

I just thought of a really horrible way to end it. It’s the death sentence to any piece of fiction…

It was all a dream.

And Woody woke up in the trash can, only it was real.

Man, that would stink. 8D

I never saw this threat! Here is how I think it should it end

Woody,Buzz, and the rest of the toys reveal to Andy they are alive. Andy is stunned. He then goes home with the toys, and then,on a cold winter morning,Andy makes Hot Chocolate,he takes the toys in the living room with him,and them they start to watch a movie, and the movie their be watching will be Toy Story 1.

  1. Andy should never know their alive, leave that to bad fanfiction.
  2. watching the movie would be breaking the fourth wall, again fanfiction.
also, what kind of adult watches a movie with his toys? I didn’t even do that as a kid. Sure, I might have played with them as I watched, but didn’t face them toward the set as if they themselves were watching.

Nice fun idea with the Wall-E tie-in…

However, there’s got to be some kind of hand-me-down to the next generation story/ending.

Some kind of Andy and his new family idea. The baby monitor may actually get employed in its true function.

Woody: Sarge, what’s going on down there?

Sarge: The cars pulling up, and Andy and his wife are getting out. They’re carrying something…It’s a baby, wait, the baby is-uh, it’s uh. It’s twins! repeat, twins! – a boy and a girl!

toys look gleeful
