How to get Pixarian autographs

Oh, wow. I’d love to take you up on that offer! <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gif” alt=“;-D” title="Grin and

Wink" />

Why would that be illegal? If it’s anyone from Pixar, I’m sure people from Pixar Planet would love that. Heheh.

Oh, yeah. If you saw them at an event I’m sure they would be happy to sign something for you afterwards, but what I’m talking about is WonderCon or something similar, where they just sign autographs for fans constantly. Sorry if I worded that wrong and confused you.

rachel - Fly on over! Heheh. :stuck_out_tongue:

Eh – I dunno. I was mainly searching for a fairly appropriate word/phrase to finish the sentence, but I think I selected the wrong one. (heh) As for the autographs, I would more than likely be able to ask my dad if he could obtain an autograph by a well-known Disney employee (i.e., Andreas Deja) or someone else who works in a similar studio. I would ask him for Mr. Lasseter’s signature, as he worked with him in the olden days, but, of course, the chances of contacting a high authority individual from Pixar now-a-days would be mighty slim, even though they were acquainted employees. Not to mention, the studio itself (Pixar) is all the way up in Emeryville, so my dad probably wouldn’t run into them on the street like he used to, unfortunately. (snigger)

Oh, I see what you mean! Yeah, I wish that they would sign autographs and stuff at the Wondercon, Comic-Con, and other events, too. That would be cool if they did. Heheh.

well…CA is pretty cool and everything, but isn’t kinda like any other state in the USA?

DrewsterHotRod- That’s awesome! I love John Lasseter’s swirly signature. Thanks for showing us!

Oh geez, I suppose I should find a way to get my autograph from John posted here. Maybe I’ll put in the photography section of dA since I’m not involved with any photo sites…

uh…

who is John Lasseter?

(im kinda new to pixar)

Oh boy, where do I start? To put it simply John’s part of the original group of people that was there when Pixar was formed. At the time I think he was the sole animator since Pixar was still mainly a computer software company. He previously animated for Disney before they fired him. John’s also the director of Toy Story, Bugs Life, Toy Story 2, and Cars. He was producer on some Pixar films too. And now he’s involved executively at Disney as well with their animation and Imagineering departments (although the official title escapes me).

Well…
You could say he’s one of the founders of Pixar. He’s also the director of Toy Story, A Bug’s Life, Toy Story 2, and Cars. He also executive produced everything at Pixar that he didn’t direct. Right now he’s the Chief Creative Officer at Disney and Pixar so he’s got a lot on his hands. As a Pixar fan, if there’s a name you need to know, it’s John Lasseter.

While I’m at it, people you may hear of while at Pixar Planet are:
Pete Docter (Monsters, Inc., Up)
Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo, WALL-E)
Brad Bird (The Incredibles, Ratatouille)
other names:
Lee Unkrich (co-director/film editor at Pixar; directing Toy Story 3)
Bob Peterson (story board guy)
and more…
Edit: lennonluvr9 you beat me to it!!

I know! we totally just posted the same thing at the same time! :stuck_out_tongue:

John Lasseter at the Lucasfiiiiioooh, you guys beat me to it, too! xD

Sylvermagykan: You should check out all the Pixar DVDs, and check out all the extra bonus features. They are filled with awesomeness!

I’m pretty sure the signature is real because if I hold the print up kinda at an angle I can see that it was done with a sharpie. I think it is just too cool. John Lasseter is GOD! lol

There are extra bonus features?

Sylvermagykan - You ask a lot of questions around here… I’m not saying it’s a bad thing that you are interested in Pixar, but it can be quite taxing if you ask (quite simple) questions all the time, especially when you obviously have an expansive resource, such us the Internet, at your fingertips. Not to mention that it derails the conversation and heads it into and off-topic direction. May I suggest using Google, or simply looking around this forum for the answers to your questions, in the future…?

Don’t worry. She’s still learning a few things.

BonT: Is it possible to get Up or WALL•E autographs?

A113- But these things are as easy as a Google search, I feel that everything she says is a question that doesn’t need to be posted.
P.S. Whos BonT?

BonT means back on topic

i think…

Yes, A113 cleared that up for me earlier. Now B-on-T.

okay then…

does anyone besides mitch have Brad Bird’s autograph?

Wow, I enjoyed reading this topic. And I never thought I’d ask this kind of question (if you don’t mind, that is), but Mitch: Who’s your daddy?

Following up on whoever suggested writing to the secretaries-- way ahead of you! In my Orlando Bloom fandom I was desperate enough to suggest it on a different forum. My mind was exploding with ideas that “just might work!”
