You could sorta show other toys, how they get bought instead, while Pete watches in horror. Then Al comes by.

There’s a lot of material you can pull from. What he dreamed of about the museum and how he pictured it. Also to include life with Amy and her Barbies 
Watch the movie for help too. There are plenty of clips on Youtube for easier access.
You should post the finished piece in the fan fiction board when you’re done and share with us.
