I finally saw it at a Drive-In Movie Theatre !

Okay, I just got back from vacationing in Massachuseetts where I saw it at drive-in with my mom.

This has actually beenthe first time in Disney/Pixar history that my mother has been excited about seeing one of their movies . She hasn’t seen a single Pixar film since taking me an my brother and I to see the first Toy Story in 1995 .

Okay, so here’s my reveiw.

I’ll start by saying that Remy is by far the cutest animated rat there ever was. I’m not just saying this because of the overall personality of him, but because of how soft he looks . Seriously, look at that CGI fur … it so reall-looking, that I just wanted to jump through the pick him up and then stroke him. And the big eyes when he’s sad…when he was sad I felt like crying.

The animation was not not only an impressive vishual success on the rat fur, but in the landscapes and elements on everything wlse as well.
The skies above Paris looked like a photograph and the grass and water in the countryside looked more lush ad real then it was in A Bug’s Life .
I almost thought the food was real at some parts … If I didn’t already know I was watching a CGI movie, I might have tried to reach through the screen and eat some of it.

Oh, and I also think Peter O’Toole’s potayal of Anton Ego was enough to blow all of the other voice-acting out of the water !! ( Except for Remy’s voice/narration of course. ) All of Anton’s lines where delivered right on the spot the way they where supposed to be. Anton Ego was intimidating yet dignified when he had to be, yet he was polite and VERY NICE about having a rat cook for him if you ask me !! For a character who looks like something out of a Tim Burton film, he certainly was a gentleman in the end .

One more thing…does anybody else find Remy’s rat squeaks to be adorable ?
