That movie was cute !The only thing was I cound’nt get over not having much dialouge.
WALL-E is in my #3 fav pixar movie spot, also couple wise, with WALL-E and EVE.
My favorite charatecers were Auto, and the Steward-Bots. Halt!Ha!Ha! Who are they voiced by anyways?
Most of the bots are voiced by the great Ben Burtt, who did most of the sound for the film. He did the Star Wars franchise sounds (light-sabers, R2D2, etc.) EVE, however, was voiced by Elissa Knight (Pixar employee) and AUTO was voiced by none other than Mac N Talk.
I love that there was so little dialogue, it’s such a refreshing change from other animated films where the entire film is about talk talk talking.
Oooo glad to see you enjoyed the movie. Pixar hasn’t disappointed me yet, lol. The only part in Wall-E that kind of made me annoyed me was the first ten or so minutes because of the lack of dialogue and action because I thought Wall-E was going to talk and stuff, but shortly after that I realized that it fits. It isn’t bad at all.
Wall-E reminds me of that Dreamworks movie “Spirit” (great movie btw), because the main characters (the horses anyway), didn’t talk; they neighed and used body language, so you had to rely on the neighing and the body language to get what is going on between the horses. Aww man I wanna see Wall-E and Spirit now. <3
Me too. I also thought I was going to hate the fact that they used real footage in the film, but the way they did it was seamless and fit right in. I was honestly pleasantly surprised. Let’s just say that Happy Feet made me never want to watch an animated movie with real life footage in it again…
LightningandSally: So glad you enjoyed it. It’s such a heartfelt and touching film. It takes a lot to make me cry during a movie, but this one has just about moved me to tears one time or another.
Agreed. It’s a really nice change. And since Ben Burtt is so skilled at what he does, it was done well. I’ve heard it called “The best silent movie since Charlie Chaplin”. I agree completely. Also, <3 EVE’s voice.
Hafta agree with you there. When I found out there was real footage, I thought “Eww, that’s gonna look so cheap, like in Happy Feet!” but the way they did it, it LOOKED like animation. You could barley tell it was real.
I just watched this film too and I’ve got to say that I’m very impressed, I don’t normally go in for animated films but as I was watching this with my family i quickly realised that this was one of the best things I had seen in a long time, there was more emotion in these two robots than most human actors can muster. My hat goes of to Pixar, they certaintly know how to make films work.
Don’t even get me started on the score, the music is beautiful and fits every scene perfectly, Robert Newman deserves greater recognition.
Not only that but the story itself is brilliant. Funny, heartbreaking and dramatic, there’s not a scene out of place in the entire film.
So now I’ve bought my own DVD so I can watch it when i want! (Now I just need to get EVE’s eyes to come up on my i-pod screen whenever I turn it on…)
