I’ve got to say, as much as I love both Pixar and Disney, Disney are reeeeeally pushing the
Cars merchandise to the limit! The car models and the posters and all the things
you’d normally expect, that’s great… But I actually saw a Lightning McQueen kids’ COSTUME in a store
yesterday. Does that strike anyone else as odd? I don’t think I’ve ever dressed as a car for Hallow’een!
If it’s anything like the one I
saw at the Disney Store, it has straps that go over your shoulder to hold the car up over you, am I
right?
And yes, the idea of dressing up as a car is odd, but if a kid really wanted to be Lightning bad
enough, he’d wear it.
I love the toys and everything else, but they ought to make Cars things that you
can use for your car. All I’ve seen are sunshades that look like eyes and dice for
the rearview mirror. I wanna see car seat covers and floor mats! I’m not saying that the sunshade eyes aren’t
freaking cool, because they are, but what about other stuff, too?

No matter what the subject of the movie is, you have to figure out a way to make a Halloween
costume out of it. The most recent movie is going to be a lot of little kid’s "most favorite movie
ever" and they are definitely going to want to be one of the characters. I remember being a My Little Pony
with an incredibly ugly light blue pony mask.
I really want the sunshades that look like eyes! I have a
bright red Mustang…I think it would look cool. 
But why are they pushing
the merchandising so much? Is it because they thought that they needed the extra revenue? It’s starting to look
a little desperate…
They would only look good on a red car, so if you can find
one, go for it! That would look really awesome. My car is tan, so unless they make Mater eyes, I’m
screwed.

I’ve been told that you can find them
at Target. They never had any in stock whenever I go in, but they say to keep calling
in.

you gotta meet with the demand. I heard that by the end of June, $600 million worth of Cars merchandise was
sold.
Haha, the eyes are awesome! The only thing I’ve actually
seen for cars are air fresheners.
I’ve
never seen those sunshades! They’re awesome! 
Admittedly, I’ve been a little crazy about Cars
merchandise… I keep looking for those Mattel cars, but the only ones I’ve been able to find are Flo and
Ramone.
They’re selling lots of Cars plushies in Woolworths now, and they’re pretty good quality.
eBay, my friend.
Seriously, online is
the only place you’re guaranteed to find the die-casts, and eBay is the only place online where you’ll be able
to pay less than 15 bucks for them. I’ve started collecting them (probably the worst decision I’ve made in the
past few years, seeing as I don’t exactly have a job 
), and eBay has since become my new best friend. We
tried finding a store that had them in stock, but Toys R Us was the only one we found that stocked them, and they
said that they sell out within hours of receiving shipments, and we don’t live all that close to the
store.
On a related note, they’re coming out with a die-cast Piggy Bank Car! I’m telling you, I will
climb the highest mountain and do all sorts of other stuff to get one.
Yeah, it does
look like I’m going to have to revert to going online… Speaking of being online, right now I’m online on my
brand new laptop! It’s so cool!
