Ice Age: Continental Drift

I still want to see it, no matter what anyone says. I guess the poster is fake(don’t care), but is Peaches big now or not? I gotsta now!!!

I still have to see the third one. I keep meaning to rent it but never do. :stuck_out_tongue:

I love how each movie has less to do with the Ice Age than the previous one. But they’re still called “Ice Age” :sunglasses:

To paraphrase Two-Face from Batman Forever, “Why can’t they just die?” 8D

I do love the Ice Age series, though this is stretching it. Short of a massive asteroid “the size of Texas” hitting Earth, I don’t think these critters are ready to hang up their prehistoric furs yet.

I really hope that’s a genuine poster, it seems [spoil]Peaches has grown up since we last saw her[/spoil]. Any chance of a Scrat x Scratte resurrected relationship? That was the only the thing I truly hated about the ending of the third film.

It’s not great like the first one, but it’s certainly worth a rent.

As long as it’s good and doesn’t turn into another Shrek, I’m good.

Chuckles: Awesome picture!

I loved the first and third movies (i could say i liked the third movie because of Buck…). I need to watch the second one since i don´t remember anything…

I hope this is the last movie. It´s a shame that the series are going downhill…

Oh gawd not another one. The first Ice age movie was the best of the franchise, although it was quite boring in some parts, it was still good and had a genuine story. By the time the Ice Age 2 was released the series started to down spiral into the pop culture route, just like Shrek 2. I guess Shrek 2 success was its main influence in throwing out some toilet humor and focusing a lot more on Scrat than telling a real story. The sequel which should have been better was worse than the first, I guess its common. It was funny the first time round, but it laked quality and I barley was able to watch it the second time round and being a animation fan I appreciate all forms of 3D animated films, but watching the sequel bore me a lot the second time.

Not so long ago I watched Ice Age 3. I remember watching the trailer and being genuinely looking forward to the sequel. It seemed like a interesting idea even though it seemed unrealistic. Throughout the 3rd movie, I thought Buck was a good add to the movie, but the movie dragged on and tried to play with our emotions. I found the birth scene quite disturbing, but it was kinda funny when Diego was screaming out trying to push back the strange dinosaur birds. The movie also ended up giving Scrat more screen time, that in my opinion kept interfering with the movie and wasn’t that too interesting to watch even though I like Scrat as an character. Overall I thought the movie was too weak and was baffled by how well it did in certain countries. This somewhat annoyed me when I see Toy Story 3 not being able to pick up the numbers Ice Age 3 did in those countries.

Now we are getting a forth, which we really shouldn’t be getting. The whole story should have ended at the first, but it continued and is getting more ridiculous each movie. Next thing we know we see the characters in the modern age because they got frozen in some ice and now somehow regained life. Seriously why can’t they stop milking the cash cow. I just wish they would end the whole thing in the next movie, but that might seem unlikely. Lets just hope that this sqeual isn’t too bad.

You mean Scrat? Like this guy?

The girl squirrel is lame, but I like Scrat.

Hi, azzstar, I have not heard from you in a while.

The first Ice Age shall always remain the best in my opinion. Not that I hated 2 and 3 really (though the time skips irritated me for one, because how could the first movie appear to be when the Ice Age was just getting started and the 2nd one it was melting when that would take far longer than any of their life spans? How on earth did that happen?)

I think I might the third one was better than the second personally speaking though but there was too much Scrat for me to deal with. It just seemed a bit… pointless. I mean in the end they break up so it’s not like Status quo was changed at all in that respect. He’s still nuts about his nut. It wouldn’t have been too bad if not as much time had been placed on it.

I giggled at the idea of them bringing them to the modern age though. I actually once had odd daydreams about that sort of thing, and if I’d had internet or at least knew of fanfiction existed back then I might have tortured people with a fanfic to that effect once using that idea. Hopefully they can do better than something I would have come with back then. I mean geez.

Maybe they’ll be able to pull a Shrek 4 (while the first two were still better, it WAS better than the third for me).

But I really think that it should stop. It’s getting a little old.

I love Manny and Diego but it’s getting a bit much.

I love Scrat, because he never wins! He kind of reminds me of Wile E. Coyote in that sense!

I kinda like Scrat too, but I do get annoyed with him once in a while. I remember that when I was little I called him Nut Head since I could never remember his name…

Scrat is so awesome, I had named my rat after him
poor guy died though

Scratte was pretty funny but I don’t think she should appear in part 4. Scrat is funnier interacting with only his nut.

I view Scrat is to Ice Age as Puss in Boots is to Sherk. They are both lovable characters who in the same time are funny and pleasure to watch, even if I found Scrat interfering alot in the movies kinda annoying. I just wonder how things will play out if Scrat was given his own movie. Maybe they’ll be pushing it, but it’ll be interesting to watch.

I’ve never seen the third one, but a few years ago me and my late aunt (who passed away last year) watched the second one, and when Scrat was trying to get the acorn, my aunt was like, “I love that little dumb-___!” It was really funny. She said it with an expression of laughter too.

i liked the first one most. Hated the second one YD i actually like the 3rd one it was hirarous to me and i like babies -.- buuut idk abotu this 4th one i’ll probably see it but eh to me these movies are to please my brother because he adores dinosaurs and maybe i liked the 3 a lot cause we got to see dinos Y3 hehe i love Velociraptors and God i love Spinosaurus! YDD

The teaser is out!

I must admit that despite it being a bit predictable in terms of if using Scrat and it it does well present some of the type of humour in WB cartoons like Bugs Bunny etc. Rediculous slap stick and all with a character able to survive anything.

But the scientist/geographer inside me is kind of sobbing quitely in a corner now as well. (Well A levl at any case, if I hadn’t studied Biology, it would have been either geography or history).

Continents do not break apart that fast! We’re technically moving NOW and we don’t feel it- it’s how Iceland came to be for instance and is ever so slowly moving the american contients further away from Europe and Africa on the East side.

Plus, Scrat would of course die for real if he went down to the earths core because he would have burned up before he even hit it and wouldn’t be able to cause that type of continent movement by accident.

But of course slap stick humour and all dictates I can’t really insert logic into it I guess, especially not in a teaser trailer. That often even involves breaking the fourth wall in some cases so yeah…

Eh, it might be okay, but what is the herd and scrat and all immortal now? They’ve gone through quite a few things which didn’t exist in the same time frame for the average animal/person to live to witness to after all…

/Slaps self. No MG, stop trying to insert logic into a teaser trailer. Just hope it’s nice enough for Manny and Diego who you love as characters.

And hope a fifth one doesn’t come.
