If you could live anywhere in the world...

I would have to say Disney World. Would love to ride on all the rides and see some of the attractions there!

You just made me so jealous, because you’ve been. 8D

Haha, I get the joke. 8D

Please don’t live in Emeryville. For your own safety. I’ve been to Emeryville, and it’s pretty gross and dangerous.

 Ah. Clever boi you are.

Personally I would like to live in a lot of places though my less than adequate talent at languages kind of limits my options.

Personally I’d actually love it if I had a job which took me to different countries for 6-9 months and the rest of the time I was able to be in the UK/Ireland.

The problem being I don’t think there’s a job which has that as it’s main descriptor. :stuck_out_tongue:

But to be realistic:

Overall, I DON’T want to live in N.Ireland. I guess I would like to be Scotland if I can out of anywhere in the UK. I just want my own space. I love my family but I think if I lived with them for the rest of my life I would go insane. (It’s just that extra incentive to get a real job, earn money and get out after I have a bit saved- my main aim being to be a pure job hunter as soon as my course ends for a full time job in ANYTHING anywhere in the UK and paying parents back if they do help initially ASAP, even working at things that don’t count to my degree.)

Their’s alot of places I would wanna live.

Dude, that would be so cool. That would be a great place to live, if only I’m able to pay for food and other expenses.

Honestly, I’m very happy with the idea of staying in Chicago, which is where I grew up and still live today (when I’m not away at school). The lakefront’s walking distance, there’s great shopping, there’s great culture (museums/art/music/etc.), the transportation is easy to use, the architecture (particularly for residential places) is great, there’s a lot of vegan friendly restaurants now, and the city’s fairly bike friendly as well. I love Chicago! Suburbanites/outsiders may bring up issues like crime, but honestly, most of that happens in bad neighborhoods or on the South Side. That doesn’t mean it’s not a problem and should be ignored, but if I’m living in Chicago 24/7 after graduating crime will hardly be a concern that’s always burdening me.

But if I had the opportunity to live somewhere else, I would probably pick a place like Portland, which is known for its nature lovers and vegan community. Or I would find some place in NYC (Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens…). My mom lived on Long Island about a 10-minute drive from JFK airport, and I went to the city quite a few times in the summer, and it gives me an exhilarating feeling. They have some of the best vegan restaurants in the world, film festivals, theaters with obscure or artsy films, great culture (obviously), and so on. Only problem is New York is way too expensive! So I don’t think that dream will become a reality anytime soon.

I loved being in Tokyo this summer, but the cost of living there is extremely expensive. I wouldn’t be able to regularly buy produce because it would cost too much! I’d have to bring over a stash of peanut butter from America or else that would cost a bunch, too. Also, the other thing that would be frustrating about living in a place like Tokyo: NO OVENS! 8D Apartments with standard ovens (not little ones) are uncommon and most certainly not anywhere near affordable. Also, their vegan food is weird because it’s macrobiotic, so in general eating in Japan for a long period of time (over a month) would just be a pain… Not to mention having to become fluent in another language and finding friends.

Random fact! I have a book about Chicago, but it’s in German.

I’d suggest San Francisco. Like Portland, lots of Vegans, and is beautiful. And there is nature too. But it’s like NYC, expensive!

I didn’t know you’ve been to Tokyo! And that’s interesting about the Ovens.

If it ever worked out, I’d like to move to Ireland someday.

Either New York or somewhere in Japan

I would love to live in New York. I’ve never been there, but I’ve read about it and I’ve seen lots of movies shot there and there seems to be an energy about that place. I think Martin Scorsese movies gives it an energy more than any other directors movies I’ve seen shot in New York. Also the culture, entertainment, shops and restaurants.

Recently I’ve come up with the idea of going to Paris or somewhere in France and living there for a summer.I have no idea what it would be like, but it sounds really awesome to me. And I could use the French I’ve been learning.

Not very creative, but there’s a town in my state I’d like to live in. It’s near a really big lake, and it has a bit of a New England feel to it, which I love, but I don’t want to live near the ocean. I also love Duluth, but it’s really hilly and near an even bigger body of water, and I heard the city can have bad storms.

I really, really, really wish I could live in the UK. I have for years, and these Olympics aren’t helping!

I’ll live anywhere where the native language is English, and it snows.
