ii - An "Incredibles" sequel

First of all, I thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you would assist me in clearing the doubts I possess in the process of scheming this little plan of mine…

“ii” will be the upcoming fan fiction I am going to put up in the very near future (I would say… two days top). As you could tell from the title of this thread, the fan fiction will be based on the concept of “The Incredibles” sequel, if there is going to be one, so to speak/type.

However, I will be requiring your help in deciding what is tasteful for you.

In short, what would you fans want to see in my upcoming fan fiction?

Maybe a love rival for Tony Rydinger (I’ve been planning on this one)? How about Bob presenting guilt in mistreating Buddy Pine? Maybe the Parrs will be facing financial crisis, putting both Bob and Helen in trouble, but mostly Helen who would (in my story anyway) put herself in harm’s way just to earn that little amount of money? And no, before you pipe up, they cannot earn money from the deeds they perform as erm, well, that would cause unhappiness among the citizens and that will create yet once again, dispute among the people.

But worry you need not, as I am not going to use the same ol’ concept of unhappy citizens like in the first story. Which is why I need your opinions.

Of course, the story will be taking place at a later time after The Incredibles 1, a year or three, which would make Jack Jack a growing toddler then. And obviously, Dash is not to be excluded. He is going to be involved in a large part as well, as with the rest of the characters.

I am sure you notice but in The Incredibles 1… heck, in most films, the minor characters are rarely used upon. They are either used in killing screentime or create minor details of the plot which will create devastating outcomes later on, but yet they would not be there as they will be left out. Nevertheless, in my storyline, I am going to make an attempt in putting all characters to good use with all my might, but…

In the end, let’s hear what you’ve got to say about the things you would take interest in an Incredibles sequel… fan fiction. :sunglasses:

Dude, I am so super excited to read your TI sequel. I am willing to help you with any ideas I can/ I have written Incredibles fanfiction before, so I have some background.

Bob
Here are some ideas for Bob. He can have an ordinary mundane job to earn money, but when duty calls, he slips away unnoticed and saves the world. (At least it kinda helps about the financial problems.

Bob has occasional nightmares of Buddy/Syndrome and how he can’t get it out of his head.

Violet
I like the idea of a love rival. My suggestion would be make here better in everything Violet is. BUt just a suggestion, maybe she could be the daugther of the main bad guy.

I would like it if you can give her more and possibly, her own action you know what I mean?

I would like it to see her fight a bit instead of hiding, and shielding everyone.

Dash

My suggestion for him is Dash trying to be a cool guy, but has bully problems and is trying to resist using his powers.

Dash could have girl problems?

Overall

Family of Super vs a Family of Villains or a evil diabolical Super bent on world destruction.

How about the idea of villianous activities all over the world from China, to the Appilation Mountains, to Hawaii, with no connection whatsoever, linking to one diabolical plan to destroy the world in the end.

These are a couple of suggestions. You don’t need to listen to me, but i hope you get a chance to read it.

TSS, a love rival for Tony would be another guy interested in Violet. :stuck_out_tongue:

~~=oP

LoL Thanks for your ideas, TSS, I appreciate it. Lemme review each of your ideas:

Bob
Erm, slipping away again? LoL I think Helen… erm, I mean, Mrs Parr will have pretty much catch Mr Parr once again and the whole scene is getting a little used up already. :stuck_out_tongue:

But I like the concept about the nightmares. To reuse Syndrome again could be a good and a bad thing. For the positive side of the action, it could make Buddy, officially the arch foe of Mr I, something like the reoccurring role of Dr Doom in the Fantastic 4 movie. As for the negative side, it lacks originality, and people would probably be tired of seeing Syndrome in the “Big S Costume” once again. Maybe a change of outfit is in order. Mhm, I doubt Edna would do him.

I meant his outfit, you sickos. :stuck_out_tongue:

But anyway, maybe Syndrome can be badly burned, scarred, sliced, diced, etc. and return with a new costume designed by himself without Mirage (a major character I forgot to mention in the first post). Maybe an armored suit? Nah, says too much of “Dr Doom” to me. I will consider about this later.

Violet
Great minds think alike, my brother. When I first watch TI, I felt that Violet did not have as much screentime as much as I have hoped for after gaining interest in her character… erm, ahem, scratch the latter part of that remark. But er, back on topic.

From your statement:

I assume that by “here,” you actually meant “him.” Well, that is, truth be told, a really intriguing manner of putting Tony Rydinger’s love rival. However, please note that [spoil]at the end, neither of the two boys will get Violet as their girlfriend… yet.[/spoil]

As for the whole “Violet being the daughter of an evil villain” concept… it’s great, but it would really make TI2 a rather out of tune movie, as Violet would not be Mr Parr & Mrs Parr’s daughter anymore. It just doesn’t really fit but, nice idea better off for other stories.

And yes, there will be more than shielding and force-field generating, and much less hiding. I am thinking about giving Violet the ability to levitate objects using her force fields, in the manner she levitated Dash in a picture slapped on a page of a TI spin-off (book, not film nor series) featuring pages from Violet’s diary. Yes, she levitated Dash in the picture. I cannot really remember the title of the book, but what I do know is that it is in a diary form, a log of Violet’s day-to-day activities featured in the movie, and it also include some informative details about the world of TI.

Dashiell Robert Parr
A cool dude facing bully problems? Actually, that’s not a bad idea either, but skip the cool dude concept, as it does not really say “Dashiell ‘Naughty’ Parr” to me. What I have going is, with your idea in consideration, [spoil]during his period of facing the pressure created by bullies, at a point of the story, Violet will be in peril, and he will have to choose whether to cower out like he did towards bullies, or punch in his courage and save his sister’s life.[/spoil]

Girl problems? Maybe in the sequel to this. Dash already has “Violet” problems.

Heh, family of villains. Sorry, TSS, idea used in other shows! But I think having a group attacking TI would be possible in later sequels, if TI ever make past TI2 first, that is.

I would love to have the Parrs travelling round the world, though. Yeah, it is pretty good of an idea, and I might take this one into considerations as well.

Anyway, I would love to hear more from the rest of you guys, too! What do you think I should do with Mirage? An alliance with the Parrs, maybe? What about Jack Jack? Maybe an intimate scene with him and Violet (in terms of siblings, guys…)? And how about the resurrection of Syndrome? Would it be too unoriginal and unrealistic? Give me your opinions, guys.

I hope you don’t mind that I submit more ideas, but here it is.

Well, I would think Mirage would have to find a new job, considering the fact that SYndrome is dead. So my suggestion for here would be to give her a job at the NSA or an undercover agent for the Supers.

For Jack-Jack, are you talking about a possible retelling of “Jack-Jack Attack” with Violet instead of Kari? I think that is an okay idea. I would like to see it. (I think Violet would have a little more of an advantage, but you know Jack-Jack. He can be so unpredictable.)

As for Syndrome resurecting, I don’t like that idea. I think of two things. One, you should probably think of a new villain. In my post earlier, I think I mentioned a psychotic super villain bent on destroying the world. Please consider him. Two, I believe that Syndrom is dead. THere is no need to bring him back, (unless it is like a flashback or a dream)

If you want more ideas or suggestion, I would be more than happy to give you some.

Erm, Mirage finding a job in NSA? Too simple and unrealistic, mainly due to Mirage possibly finding it to be a little difficult in working for the good after recovering from working for the evil? In short, the guilt factor and the awkwardness presented.

No, not like a “Jack Jack Attack” remade; that would be unoriginal, not my style (even the resurrected Syndrome idea is original, as I would explain later). I was referring to a very close relationship scene where Violet and Jack Jack gets bonded, like a sister to a brother, and vice versa.

And you know those blockbuster films, they always bring the dead back alive, especially with the villain. And also, if you read my previous post carefully, I mentioned him being “scarred” or “burned.” In other words, disfigured, which is quite realistic if some thoughts and alterations are put into it.

And there IS a need for a comeback, as Syndrome would be a perfect arch foe for Mr I, and considering that Mr I needs one, Syndrome could fit the role.

Psychotic villain bent on destroying the world - cliche much? It’s used in every other superhero stories. :stuck_out_tongue: Think outside the boy, TSS. Think about the reason why I would want to bring Syndrome back into attention.

Maybe Syndrome do not have to appear in this sequel, but the next. If Syndrome is to reappear, some drama might be involved, like Bob’s reaction to his return, Syndrome knowing more about Mr I than any other villains, etc., even though I know the latter is used in Spider-Man, but like I said, alterations can be made.

Due to school, I am sad to announce that the premier to the first chapter will have to be pushed back, possibly to this Saturday. But no worries, I will try and bring it to PP ASAP.

Well, I understand now. I wish you luck in writing your fanfic now. And if I do happen to have a suggestion, I’ll be sure to post one up ASAP. Good luck.

Yo! Yo! Yo! You miss me?! Probably not. I didn’t leave that much of an impact on you guys when I last left anyway. But, I have returned. Moreover, I brought you guys a gift: The prologue of “ii”! It’s finally up! I finally found myself sufficient time to complete get a head start on the story yesterday. So, with further ado, may I present… the prologue of “ii”.

ii - An Incredibles Sequel

Dude are you kidding me? I totally missed you dude. I was like, “wait, someone is missing.” BUt i won’t go into a long little explaination. Welcome back dude.

And second I read the begining. Now I have read many TI fanfics before, but I will say this one is going to be one of my favorites. I just have this hunch after reading the first page. Keep it up dude.

Why can’t I see it? It says that I have to have a profile :frowning:

It means you have to register at fanfiction.net to read it.

oh, I get it now

I recommend you do. This story is really intresting. I hope he gets to update it soon.

Sorry guys, I had the er… Writer’s-laziness-syndrome, yeah… heh heh. But I finally completed Chapter One (or at least got myself to finish it). I guess you can blame it all on school… hehe.

Anyway, Chapter Two will be faster this time, I promise (really, especially with mid-term holiday coming soon). So here it is, Chapter One: An Innocent Morning.

[url]http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4120425/2/[/url].

I hope you got my review. I can’t wait to see the next chapter.

LoL Don’t worry, I got it. But erm, bad news, it turned out that my mid-term results were not as… joyful, as expected, so I will have to attend school during my holiday. In other words, the chapter would not arrive as soon. I am deeply sorry, but, I will try to put it up as soon as I can.

Hey no worries. Take your time. As long as you promise to keep working on it, I will keep looking out for it.
