I found this fun pattern in the latest Animation Mentor newsletter:
Preceding “Cars” is a Brad Bird film (The Incredibles), an Andrew Stanton film (Finding Nemo), a Pete Docter film (Monsters Inc), and Toy Story 2.
Following “Cars” is a Brad Bird film (Ratatouille), an Andrew Stanton film (Wall E), a Pete Docter film (Up), and Toy Story 3.
Cool! Mere coinkydink…or hints of a far greater conspiracy at work?
…
Just kidding.
That’s just like a chiasmus! I knew those Latin lessons were good for something.
Nice find, Hannahmation . Everything Pixar does seems to have an element of perfection, so perhaps there is a far greater conspiracy at work, thedriveintheatre .
No one noticed that before…?
It is cool though!

It would be even cooler if any letters of their names stand for Pixar .
Wow, I never noticed that at all. Pretty cool pattern though.

I’ve never noticed that either
I thought there was some kind of pattern in Pixar, but I never noticed it was exactly like that. Interesting discovery.
That’s pretty neat! If I was a super geek, I would be able to make an equation out of that pattern.
