Info needed on John Lasseter

Wish to get some information on John Lasseter’s contributon/association
to ASIAN ANIMATION.

We all know about his association with Studio Ghibli and the friendship with
Miyasaki and how it has helped the West to watch some excellent work
from Ghibli. Recent totoro project is another good venture sprouted from this
relationship. But other than this, does he have any association with any animators or studios from Asia ?

I had a look around, but couldn’t really find much on his connections with Asian animation aside from the obvious link with Hayao Miyasaki. I’m not sure if he actually does have any other links with other film studios in Asia.
