intereseting question...

this may not be VERY intersesting, but i thought of it while my teacher was talking about pollution…

okay, u know in the movie Cars, only CARS exist, rite? and you know how beautiful the forests and lakes look in the movie, rite? well, you kno how cars are one of the causes for pollution? well, shouldnt all the beautiful foresty and such become dead and ugly or something? i mean, with all that gas filling the air, (and im not just talking about Mater :-D) the world should be…poisoned…or something…right?
im a curious person

Well, cars let out lots of gases like carbon dioxide which trees feed on, so it isn’t necesarily bad, just in excess (that’s when greenhouse gases start to create global warming by keeping heat in). Also we only see abundancy of trees in that secluded area, the rest is desert. It’s not like there’s no concern for the environment in the film, Fillmore sells organic fuel after all. And last but not least, it’s a film about cars populating Earth like people do, so the possibilities are endless.
I think it was an interesting question, but if you have the chance, I’d change the title for everyone else.

I’m guessing why everything seems to survive in this world is because it’s a world inhabited only by cars and car-things.
Like if a human’s entire diet was on motor oil, wouldn’t he/she, um…die?

I think that “pollution” is okay for the car universe, since the cars are still alive (maybe that’s why there are no humans there; they all got poisoned XDDD)

how would i change it?

Mcqueen & Sally- That’s all you have to say :open_mouth:
Anyways, I said if you have the chance and I believe you do that by clicking edit post.

i know im gonna get a lot of arguments from this, but i dont think there is actually global warming given to the fact states like colarodo have been having the most snow they’ve had in a while

In northern Maine this year, we broke the record for most amount of snowfall. (Almost 200 inches…) What a winter that was!!!

:`-( :`-( :`-(

That’s it! I’m moving to Canada ASAP!

Yea, we’re getting warmer and drier winters here in Canada. It’ been that way for over a decade now. I grew up with snow drifts, but mostly have to go to the mountains to see them now.

Photo from Jeff’s last snowy adventure.

It won’t effect the plants at all, its actually benefiting them as cars produce CO2 (and the toxic carbon monoxide and various other gases) which is the gas plants need to respire same as humans who need oxygen. Also the rise in CO2 is going to help the ecology as they will face warmer weather is also good for plants.

Global Warming is happening slowly, our concern is to stop it getting even warmer. The reason why Colorado is facing more snow is because of climate change, our climate has been changing for millions and millions of year, but stupid politicians think it was create a few hundreds years ago.

Yea, we’re on the tail end of an ice age. That said, things are changing, and for whatever reason, cleaning up our mess is necessary.

True we got to clean up our mess, and I hope that the coming of Wall-E will encourage a lot of people into recycling and not produce so much waste.

Um…the earth’s isn’t that old. Anyhow, global warming is happening (say bye-bye, New Orleans! Mwahaha!), but it’s not gonna destroy mankind; it’s just gonna get rid off a few cities by the ocean, such as Shanghai, Tokyo, New York, New Orleans, most of Florida, and…okay, it’ll be quite a loss, but we’ll still have each other. xD

The plants in Cars must have been ok with the carbon dioxide emitted, since if you look closely at them, you can see car parts in them.

Somethings just shouldn’t be explained - you’ll run in circles. Best to leave it at it is what it is. Because you’ll lose your marbles if you don’t. It’s nice to think about how that works but … it’s mind boggling. It’s fantasy. So there.

Oh here we go. The earth isn’t how old ? 6000 years perhaps ?

Its 4 billion years old. How can you say it’s not old.

He’s goin’ “by the book” on that. But it ain’t a science book.

What book? And who says 6,000 years?

What? And who says 4 billion years?

I’m saying that in the Cars world, all of carkind and probably the cars world have only been around for only a few hundred years it seems, since the automobile was “invented” only a few hundred years ago.

Don’t get yourselves angry at something I didn’t say. (I’m talking to you, Jeff)

What? And who says 4 billion years?

Oh, my bad. Sorry for the miss understanding, I thought you were talking about our planet.
